LOL Jets in full turmoil now. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000...ream-of-adding-manning?module=HP11_hot_topics
David Carr> Mark Sanchez I still to this day, dont understand why he was drafted 5th overall( besides maybe his ability to make the Jets money with the Mexican Fans, and the Latino Community) Just think for a second, Mark Sanchez wouldnt start on USC next year, but somehow he is starting for NY Jets????????
I always wondered why this didn't happen before with the Jets. If I was on that Jets team, Sanchez would really be pissing me off. He's not a capable quarterback, yet has been given all the trust and security in the world. CBS force-fed my region enough Jets games last year for me to know that this guy just doesn't have it.
Well, Matt Cassel didn't start at USC at all... I actually liked Mark Sanchez coming out. He has shown promise at times, but by your third year you have to better than this. He has the personality for New York, but obviously he's losing his team.
Never thought Sanchez had much potential. Jets blew it. I hope they give him another year because it would be a huge mistake. Rex Ryan's loose ship is also part of the problem. After 3 years, it will be hard for him to change style and tighten things up. Making an unstable guy like Santonio Holmes team captain and then refusing to discipline the guy early in the season helped derail their train.
I never understand when people say: Mark Sanchez took his team to 2 AFC championship games. He didnt do that, it was the defense, and the running game. Now this year, they started to pass more than running with the ball, and look what happen.
I could really see the Jets trading Sanchize and trading for Flynn. Either that or drafting Tannehill. They have to make a move. Sanchize has lost his lockerroom.
Rex Ryan and his act only have a 3 or 4 year shelf life before it gets old and guys stop buying into it. Just like Jerry Glanville.
Agreed. Rex Ryan's time in New York is running short. It was fun and a breath of fresh air when he came in throwing caution to the wind, but it's getting old. He hitched his wagon to Mark Sanchez and that was a mistake.
I'm definitely no Sanchez/Jets fan, but I thought the plan was for him to manage the game while they put a priority on running the ball. He can do that, not throw fifty-something times. That's like us busting out the wildcat with Schaub.
I never understood the "just don't f*** it up" QB prototype. That's like only having expectations for a runningback to block and not fumble.
