They spoke no English, had no liscense, registration or insurance and then thats what we were told by our insurane when they tried suing for damages. no we didn't ask to see their documents all of that was done by the police and our insurance. I'm not trying to hate on any one just re-telling what happened to us.
I'm sure your carrier will deny this one just as fast as they can. Insurance companies love to deny claims, of any type. This is why you have a policy. Let them deal with this guy from now on.
So... eh... everyone who enters the country and speaks no English, has no license, registration or insurance is an illegal whether they have proper documentation or not? Anyway, you can see my point on your stereotypical comment. Man, there are many illegals in this country who HAVE license, registration, and insurance.
why did your wife give her info to them if they backed into her?? i wouldn't give out my insurance info if someone hit me. that's like admitting you were somehow at fault.
Dude. Give it a rest. Quit trying to paint me as a racist and defending these people. We were told they were here illegally which our insurance people found out when they tried to sue us for them backing into us. I don't have a problem with people coming here to make their lives better. I do have a problem with people coming here causing accidents, trying to take advantage of our legal system, suing innocent people and claiming injuries happened to their child pre-birth. They were here illegally AND breaking the law AND trying to get a hand out from our insurance. That screws over hard working people like you and me regardless of our race or theirs.
I looked up "illegals" in wikipedia, and it didn't say it was a race. No one said you were a racist, man ! YOU relax. But, seriously, man... should the insurance even tell you their IMMIGRATION status ?!?!?!? I don't think they should. It's none of your business or theirs, really, if anyone is staying in the country legally or not.
It sucks man, and it happens quite often. We arrived on the scene of a 1050 (car accident) last year, where the people were all still in their car complaining of neck pain etc. They had gone off the road and in the grass. They hadn't hit anything....they all said their spines hurt though. The other vehicle was no longer on scene. As we got more information of the accident, turns out it wasn't a hit and run like we thought. The people in the car that was here had already exchanged insurrance info etc. The cars NEVER collided. What happened is the one girl in the other car was trying to turn and they came over the hill and almost rear ended her and went off the road. She didn't want the cops involved for whatever reason. Because they knew she didn't want the cops involved they all pretended to be hurt knowing they could sue her for big money etc. (they had already been walking around to talk to the other girl etc.) There was really NO dammage to the vehicle. What pissed me off is when they were back boarded and put in the back of our ambulance they were all laughing etc. Didn't seem like they were in any pain. They were giggling how funny it felt to be strapped down on the back board etc.
Today at lunch driving home, I saw this small 4 door (looked like an old Toyota Corolla) go for what seemed like an eternal slide, with wheels screeching and smoking, into the back of a stopped minivan at a red light intersection in the lane next to me. By the time the car was done sliding and actually hit the rear of the minivan, it was like a "tink"...barely touched it. It was kind of funny. It reminded me of a cartoon. The lady got out to survey the damage. There wasn't a scratch on her bumper. Not sure if there was any damage to the offender's car as I didn't stick around to find out. Anyway, nothing out of the ordinary. She didn't seem like she was going to be a b**** about having her bumper tapped. It was one of those "that was close" scenarios.
