From Google: Season 1 Episode 2: I Never Met the Dead Man It was between the Quahog newscasters Tom Tucker: Because of an accident today at the Quahog cable company, all television transmission will be out for an undetermined amount of time. Of course, no one can see this news program, so it doesn't really matter what we say. I'm the lord Jesus Christ. I think I'll go get drunk and beat up some midgets, how about you, Diane? Diane Simmons: Well, Tom, I just plain don't like black people.
I think elaborate lies are really the only way to go in those situations. When they start telling you about all their money, tell them that no amount of money compares to the time you were out on an African safari and choked a beastly lion to death with your bare hands, saving the tour group of bikini models.
I get this a bunch on the west side of town. I'm sure it was like that when I was growing up out here, but it's gotten worse as property values have raised to insane levels. High achievers who need to show you how successful they are. Who measure life in the things they've bought. Consumerism is not a good thing...very dehumanizing. Very easy to become trapped by wealth; and that's something to guard against.
Financial success is only about 5% of what life is about. That's what the poor people always say. But it's true.
I can't search video sites, but I would suggest searching for "SNL penelope" skits and imitate her behavior with these people.
Must be talking about Dallas folks... I've noticed this more and more...I don't do that cause' really, I don't care...I'm just happy to have a job, a roof over my head and food on the table...
I just got a new job with 50% increase in salary. It took me only 2 months to find out that money and materials I bought do not really mean much in my life.
Not just accomplishments, I dont care what other people do with themselves PERIOD. I always thought it was about striking a common ground between people but BOY was I wrong. Its one-upsmanship all the way, even with people I think are "good friends" its like that. Thats just the way it is though. When you go from junior high to high school there's that divide between who's "cool" and popular and who's not, so its not like its just successful people one-upping.
I think peeps with no money and living in the 'hood should brag about it. Those are the peeps that usually end up shooting us better-off folks. If they brag about it, you know they might steal from you or shoot you: run away. You run away, sir. RUN AWAY. I don't know where "Killing me" is from. Uhhh... Coming to America? Tombstone? Terminator 2? True Lies? I give up.
