Woah I didn't know there was new D-Gray man on the way. That was another one of those animes that ended early becuz the manga would be on hiatus regularly. Will def watch And with bae Alice that seems like how they do all Soma's opponents. Make them seem bad and after the match most of them are cool with him after. Like that meat girl from the first season. Also interesting how they seem to be progressing faster. Usually an episode like that would take two episodes to find out who won. Hope they keep it like that. About the new Berserk. I'm not wild about the animation but I'm just glad it got made. As long as they present the story well and do the battles right we cool
Did you ever watch the entire season of d.gray-man? What's your opinion on it? I like that too, they may finish the arc by the 12th episode and we'll get to see the next arc which I think involves more erina plot.
I thought the animation of the Berserk films were bad at first but slowly grew to love it. Seems I'll feel the same about the new series but the fight scenes so far hasn't seemed as fluid.
Yes the original anime I thought was very good. The whole world and lore they created for their powers and history was really cool, as well as the characters. Kind of reminded me if a much more mature version of Soul Eater. Tho it ended abruptly it that was due to running out of content from the manga.
It's just strange, because bae is already an established character. We knew nothing about Nikumi when she was first introduced (as an oversexualized maneater-type character lmao), but nothing about Alice suggests all the ominous stuff. And I, too, like the quickness of the competition stuff - especially since there are so many more matches to go. If it's a story arc that doesn't have much to do with people competing, match after match, then a one-ep fight-and-result is a great way to go about it.
I kind of like it that way though because I see it as bae being the opposite of her cousin Erina who she has been trying to defeat/impress all her life. Erina is the "god tongue" and is always shown under the light while bae with her pale skin suggests she's always been in her shadow or in the dark. So the ominous and evil look she has going on I think fits her, and I also love when she quickly changes and shows that goofy side of her. Sorry to over analyze, love her character and the entire show <3
Binged it last night and it was great! Definitely my type of show. Story reminds me of angel beats and I thought the ending would turn into a feels. Would love a second season focusing more on the MCs
Awesome! Glad you liked it. Unfortunately I read that the manga is not much further along, so a 2nd season might not be coming for awhile.
I enjoyed ReLife, had some solid humor too. The ending was strange. Like a show that was extremely confident it would get a second series. No real resolution, and a major twist to one of the key characters with no real follow up whatsoever. It was like a pseudocliffhanger, which kind of grinds my gears.
I also binged relife. Thought it was great. Really enjoyed the characters. I agree about not liking the ending. Series like that rarely get a second season and if they do it's forever later. So that was annoying. Re:zero. Wtf. These last few episodes have been weird af. I want to see where this is going but I almost feel like it's taking too long (and it's too depressing) getting there.
The lesson I'm getting there is that even if you could play life like a video game, the payback is your sanity. This aint no Tom Cruise movie.
Haha this made me laugh out loud. Re:Zero is getting pretty dark. I feel like the show has some pacing problems, but when it's on, it's pretty intense! That ending was something else...and the way the credits just rolled over that scene with the snow slowly covering it all. Chilling! *pun intended*
I like it, better than the crap they were feeding before. They need something concrete...but this last episode was very powerful and the best of the series so far.
Yea...I thought that was the ending to the show... This episode was crafted very very well. We wait each week...but I'd imagine that if we saw it all in one sitting we would like it a lot better and the pacing wouldn't seem all that bad.
1. "Orange" I think is gonna be one of the best of the season story-wise, it has the feels! Ya'll check it out! 2. "Days" is my sports fill. Reminds me of baby steps minus the note taking. 3. "Servamp" is pretty intesting, can't explain it without spoilers, but it's pretty action and has some funny bits. 4. "Amaama to Inazuma" Family anime, Dad wants his daughter to taste the best foods so he opens a restaurant lol. Those are my go-to for the season besides "Food Wars" and "Re:Zero" which don't need explanations. "Hatsukoi Monster" <- WTF anime of the season.
I agree with that last part. I watched the first 10 episodes in one sitting and it flowed amazingly well. This isn't a show meant to be watched week to week. I'd imagine if someone watched the whole thing after this season ended it would be even better to them than it is to us.
I liked ReLife because it reminded me of the movie The Game, except much less threatening of course. The idea of making someone go through an experience as a form of therapy is very interesting and I also like that we don't know how much of his ReLife is being controlled by the company. Are faculty members in on it? Any other Support masquerading as students? We and the main characters still know so little, I feel like I can't take anything at face value and I like that about the show.
