Watching Solo Leveling and Ninja Kamui, both have been entertaining and getting better with more episodes in so far.
Now that its complete, I can say without hyperbole that Frieren is the greatest season of anime I have ever watched. Absolutely no holes, no weak spots, just consistent excellence from start to finish.
This might be better in the “old” thread but I was talking to a 24 year old last night who is into anime and manga and couldn’t understand most of the references she had. What was funny was she is Hispanic but because she is such an anime fan her family was telling her she was abandoning her Dominican heritage and wanting to be Asian.
Frieren was amazing. I didn't think much of the premise, but it's a welcome fresh wholesome story. I do think the first class mage arc was a little too long and not as interesting. I would've preferred to see more sidequests with flashbacks that give more depth to the central party.
this season of Demon Slayer is boring as sh*t…I’m not someone who needs everything to be action or fights, but a whole season centered around a training arc is just
Finally Finished Black Clover and Rise of the Shield Hero (well the 25 episodes on netflix) next looking for Solo Leveling Rocket River
Solo Leveling came out of nowhere for me, It didn’t look impressive when I first glanced at it but then when I started watching the episodes I was hooked really good soundtrack also helps
Solo Leveling was good but nothing groundbreaking so far, in the sense that Demon Slayer is formulaic but enjoyable. It's a Korean manga that was adapted for Japanese anime. I liked Shield Hero's 1st season. I could not get through season 2. And apparently, season 3 got even worse. So you might wanna drop it now. That's the general consensus.
I don't think netflix has season 2 (just the 1st 25 episodes) so maybe a break from the next season will make it worth coming back to. Demon Slayer got old to me quick. I think after the first season I was kind of bored with it It had interesting ideas but I don't know if they came through well enough Rocket River
Actually got bored with AOT and took a break from it, finally got around to watching the full final season. Goodness, that was better than all the other seasons combined and might be the best single season of anime I've watched. Demon Slayer had a training arc from the manga so it was to be expected as a slower build-up. The last episode of the season was great though. Trying to catch up on older or classic series I've never watched while waiting for the main shows to come back. 86, Ippo man, Monster, etc.
Also watching the new season of Tower of God. It's been so long, I'm having to rewatch the first season again to remember where the characters were in the story. It's entertaining though
Recently have watched Code Geass and Steins Gate. Code Geass was good. Some very shocking moments where **** just hits the fan, but some great characters. I wasn't a fan of the art style, though. Too much slenderman vibes where proportions were just unaesthetic. Steins Gate, love it. Never heard about it before but lots of recommendations to watch it. The first half was very dull and boring. I understand how critical it is to develop the world but there was no connection to any characters. Plot really got rolling and never slowed down. Half the characters were good but the other half were not developed enough.
Season 2 of Arcane: League of Legends on Netflix and it's one the best animes they've made. The art and animation is a masterpiece
