Demon Slayer is visually appealing and a standard shonen. But other than that, it's a fairly basic story of good vs. evil. Don't get me wrong, I highly enjoy it, but it's story is nothing special. The anime certainly elevates the manga.
I highly enjoy it as well and think we agree here. Most anime stories are good vs evil if you think about it, protagonist vs antagonist is standard for most. But there's room for plenty opinions, I'm enjoying it overall.
Demon Slayer- Finally got caught up and it's pretty great. I believe it's part of the target audience/different type of humor but I don't like all the comedic screaming and yelling. Otherwise, it has an interesting story, awesome animation/action, but pretty interchangeable/replaceable characters. Vinland Saga- Still felt pretty Farmland Saga-ish but actually ended the season getting the feels. It's by no means bad or even average, but the first season just set the expectations of an awesome, mostly action packed, story. Up next... Mob Psycho 100- Really enjoying the style and story, but just nibbling around the edges and not binging. Jujutsu Kaisen- This will probably be the next catch up binge show.
the last episode of Demon Slayer was pretty good…didn’t care much for either demon, and they went out like some b*tches fight with Upper Moon 5 lasted several episodes, but the actual fighting was like 5 minutes…Upper Moon 4 went out with a whimper JJK will be officially placed in the pantheon after the Shibuya Arc is animated in S2
Yeah that is really gorgeous. Looked up the premise…trope is a little worn at this point, high school student joins secret something hunter society but there’s a twist with him. Is it any good?
it’s easily my favorite manga/anime…it’s similar to Hunter x Hunter with the power system, has great fights, and likable characters it was the best selling manga in 2022 IIRC
starts off a bit slow as it builds up the characters and establishes the plot, but once it does, I got hooked I thought S1 looked good and it looks like they stepped it up even further for S2
bit of Naruto, bit of Hunter x Hunter, some horror aspects to it as well…never seen Bleach so Idk what parts of JJK are similar to it
Yeah more hunter x hunter. The creator is a big fan of HxH and starts to add more tabletop rules later in the series. It's like bleach in the sense of good vs evil groups with crazy character design and powers. Those two and naruto are some of my favorite series. I stopped reading JJK because they started adding a bunch of rules that make sense if you binge read rather than follow week by week. That's probably season 3 stuff if it ever lands in the near future. This season should be intense.
