Reading the description of the show on wikipedia, I was like "wtf is this weird ass synopsis?" Watching the first two episodes of the show, I was like "THIS **** SLAPS."
Getting some Naruto vibes from JJK though. Yuji = Itadori. Both goofy protagonists who protect the people they care about from harm. Fushiguro = Sasuke. Both spiky black haired individuals who are quiet and are both already really good at what they do. Nobara = Sakura. Tough-as-nails female protagonist who doesn't take crap from anyone. All three are in the same year and are taught by the same teacher. That teacher being... Gojo = Kakashi. Even has the same visual features Kakashi has (with the mask over an eye / both eyes) and is one of the strongest characters in their respective worlds...at least early on.
I'm getting real tired of this Attack on Titan story line with Reiner. I need my dawgs Eren and Mikasa to make an appearance already. Episode #3/#62 was really good though. Reiner and them were really all just winging this whole time? lmao.
Starting to get into Assassination Classroom wondering how it will end, took me a while to be interested. The introduction of the principal got me hooked.
The Demon Slayer movie is about to break the box office record in Japan so I figured I would check it out. I don’t really have time to ‘watch’ subtitled anime so I started reading the manga. Anyone have any feedback on the Anime? I may watch it if I like the Manga enough.
Anime looks brilliant and ruins the manga visuals. I think the series is dubbed but I'm used to reading subs
It's really good, but if you are looking for something that is different from everything else out there, this is not it. It's a beautifully animated Shonen anime with similar plot to every other Shonen anime. The first season it had one episode that broke the internet, but for the most part, I found it to be slightly above average. I actually stopped watching the anime before the internet breaking episode before I picked it back up again to see what everyone was going crazy over. I think this one has been dubbed. I love dubs because I can put that joint on 1.5 times speed. I'm not a manga reader btw.
JJ Kaisen is going the opposite direction of Naruto. The demon in Yuji seems to want to kill Yujis closest friend in Fushiguro, instead of Sasuki wanting to kill Nartuo and the 9 tails. Still so many side characters that need to have their powers revealed and yet there is so much action each episode. This really is becoming a goat anime. Is there a torrent or stream out on the Demon Slayer movie yet? Japan pissing me off with their release.
Nah.. They were set to release it in US theaters earlier this year, but covid shut that down. They knew it was gonna be a hit movie following the success of the show. They hyped it up very much and had fans salivating. We just have to wait.
I did not really like it, watched about 3 episodes and it seemed like a rehash, the fight scenes were very meh and the main character never seemed to have the actual powers or skills to win but always did. Plot was kind of convoluted as well. It has a lot of Inuyasha vibes and I loved that when I 1st started watching anime so I don't know why this did not click. It's also a little too cutesy.
What was the episode that broke the internet? I can't see how anything with this anime that would cause so much uproar.
