I've watched the first season of Mob Psycho, but stopped watching the show after episode 1 of the 2nd season. Felt like a huge drop-off. But if you say otherwise, perhaps it's worth to try it again.

I don't like Jojo at all, but I can respect it. Anime seems like it rolls off an assembly line with so many similar plots, art styles with vanilla MC's and basic waifu's that like him for no reason.

Jojo's over the topness and unusual everything is the exact reason it's successful and still going amidst a sea of uniformity.

Treat mob psycho as low expectation slice of life and you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Just finished both seasons and the movie. It is, indeed, a gem.

Some laugh-out-loud funny gags, fun and distinctive characters, great production quality, attention to the details, catchy tunes, and... the feels.

Gonna look for more stuff from director Yamada Naoko and KyoAni.

You probably missed this, but an arsonist killed like a quarter of KyoAni and many of their brightest talents died in the fire.

So it will probably take a while before we see new KyoAni material. :(

Keep watching. I just finished it a few minutes ago. The second season threw me for a loop because it immediately starts digging into Mob's and Reigen's psyches, their relationships with each other, and their relationship with their own worlds. It's intended to dig deep and touch open wounds and really open up some serious character development. But that's how this show is. Its core essence is the characters behind the powers and their internal struggles and frailties and how they help each other overcome those. And it really brings that together rather brilliantly by the end, I think. And don't worry, there is an absolutely out-of-this-world climactic battle by the end with phenomenal animation.

I saw this (somewhat) new Chinook and it reminded me of a futuristic anime helicopter.

I should have added 80/ 90s futuristic helicopter -- now they animate them like giant drones.

It was a good payoff for the 2 previous episodes of teasing.

MHA had a month worth of very mediocre episodes, but the last 3 delivered in a major way.
