Yep, after Shishio, it's not very good. The OVA's are all simply amazing, however; they're #2 on my top 5.
Not sure if that's a typo or not but there's actually 4 seasons of Dexter so far. If you haven't seen the 4th one yet, you're missing out big.
I really didn't like the 4th season until like the last 3 episodes. Season 2 is still the best by a mile.
Yeah, the last few episodes are what made me like the 4th season so much. Season 4, 2, 1, and 3 are my rankings. I would like season 2 the best if it wasn't for the season 4 finale.
Basilisk Naruto Shippudden (minus the fillers) Samurai Champloo You can see all these and more onanime shippudden
Claymore Anime is in my top 5, at least until they strayed from the manga to finish it off. I loved the episode where Teresa takes on (and annihilates) Priscilla and the others.
It seems like you would know of any anime that anyone on here recommends... I recommend Battle Vixen Basilisk is good...I heard some good things out of Eden of the East, its a bit knewer, not a lot of episodes about 15 I think. Also, not anime nor Japanese....But if you haven't you should watch Oldboy, very good Korean film based on a manga.
Anyway, some shows from the last year that I at least watched at least parts. And you may also like. I do like Japanese slapstick comedy though. So if you're not into that, just go for the bolded ones. Darker than Black season 2 Duradura Dance in the Vampire Bund Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu To Aru Majutsu no Index Umineko no Naku Koro ni Bakemonogatari Spice and Wolf 1&2 Phantom ~Requiem for the Phantom~ Senjou no Valkyria
Ergo Proxy Love the style since it's very similar to the 2000 anime Blood: The Last Vampire. Only saw a couple of episodes a year ago so I might need to check my hard drives for the rest of it. <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/sMaujWMeBmM&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/sMaujWMeBmM&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
considering this is a basketball forum i'll assume you like basketball so i would say "slamdunk". i enjoyed it
This is an extremely polarizing one. Honestly the execution is poor and declines progressively as you go through the show until the last three episodes upon which they unleash their best writers/artists. It's protracted at 23 episodes which leads you to wonder whether or not there were budgetary issues. Nevertheless, if you consider yourself a sci-fi veteran (like serious veteran, in both novel and movie forms) and have a facility about sci-fi's such that an ordinary one like Metropolis (2002) or the Island are boring to you, then this series will give you all that you can put into it and more. I had to watch it again immediately after finishing it once because I was so impressed with the constant references to its precursors. It's the one series where it borrows with impugnity and expects you the viewer to assume that all the tenets established from the plot twists of other sci-fi's are already true. It leaves out the explanations for those revelations and frankly doesn't explain much at all. But man it's impressive what it aspires towards. If you can use your imagination to fill in the gaps to see where this series was trying to go rather than how it ended up, it's a great albeit qualified success. A lot of it remains open to interpretation by the end but I think I have my theories on most of it. I'm willing to forgive it for its deficiencies because the effect in the end remains the same; unlike the crappy all style no substance Witch Hunter Robin.
Hmm, interesting. I just might need to pick this one up again since I stop watching it like a couple of episodes in because the story took a turn and led to a different path to my liking.
