    I want a polar bear :(

My air condition and seal bills will be astronomical though.

Dumbass activists! I see no logic in killing the bear. It's pure idiocy. If I were that polar bear, I would be thanking my lucky stars that I didn't have to:

a.) swim for miles to find ice to rest on
b.) search for days on end for food...which is becoming harder to find
c.) worry about global warming with Al Gore while affecting a.) and b.)

This polar bear has it made given they let the bear grow up in a good habitat. Yes...we need to start thinking about saving the polar bears from extinction. How are we going to do that if we don't breed and raise them in other habitats...like zoos?

I didn't say "animals", I said "Polar Bears, Lions, Cougars, etc...". Clearly some animals eat each other (fish in general have nothing else to eat but other fish) but some don't but the point is that animals just do what they do and don't try to animalize us. Why should we try to humanize them?

Get a Great Pyrennees instead. It looks a lot like a polar bear, gets to 100+ lbs, but is well-mannered and won't unexpectedly eat you.

Ok just to be nitpick. Most animals kill others of teir own species. A male lion who just became the dominant male of a new pack, will kill the young ofspring of its predecessor. (same goes for gorrilas and others)

Chimps will go to neighbour area's and go on rading parties(and kill every chimp they encounter).

I do agree with you, Animals are animals, and we should treat them like it. and not try to see human emotions in animals.

When you have a dog you should think about yourself as the alpha wolve and that way you can be clearest to your dog. Dogs are not children, they are dogs. My dog is one of the most importent things in my life(besides my girlfriend) but i would never treat her as a human.

If the bear has been conditioned from birth to live in a zoo, then it weakens these over re-activists shrill cries. It sounds like they're protesting only to sound self-important. They have no evidence to back their claims up. Those sad sons of b****es.

    Yes

I'm the polar opposite; I'm enjoying this nonsense.

If they do kill it will they be selling the fur on EBAY?

All animals are sentient beings, less intellectually advanced than humans but no less capable of feeling suffering.

The "global warming is killing the polar bears" line is popular, but not factual. Polar bear populations are decreasing in a few areas, and increasing in others. The overall population trend is upwards. Just sayin.
