If the Rockets can take him at #38 I'm all for it. No way at #15 thought. He looks like a loser!

Hi everyone! Long time reader as well and new poster. Some have mentioned Grizzard and he seems like a pretty good canidate if the Rox wanted a point forward type. Question is, what is the extent of the injury he had? If it's not bad I wouldn't mind picking him up if we could trade down to get him.

God PLEASE don't get Tayshaun Prince! I've seen plenty of the guy, he is ridiculously overrated. He's to light for his size, is not a great condition and gets winded after 20 minutes, and all he does is sit back and gun 3s because he doesn't have the size, or will, to bang.

The only way Prince will land in a Rockets uniform is if the origins of his genealogy can be traced back to Lithuania , Slovenia, or some other Slavic country as the Rockets go big on the international scene. Lots of cosmonauts , no afro-naughts.

I think Houston has the option to "switch" those picks with Miami. I think they have up until a few days to make that decision. I think most feel the Rockets will make that decision. I could be wrong about the situation but I think that is what I have heard. Can anyone "confirm" this?

I am saying this for the last time: Stop spreading mis-information.

    Here's the definitive source.

Up to seven days before the draft, the Rockets can switch second-round picks with Miami, taking the 38th pick and sending the 53rd pick to the Heat as part of the Hakeem Olajuwon sign-and-trade deal with Toronto. The only reason to wait is to allow the Heat time to consider rewarding the Rockets for staying where they are.

Bottom Line: The Rockets will have the 38th pick unless the Heat make it worth our while to keep the 53rd. Odds are, the Heat won't fret too much about 15 slots in the 2nd round, and we'll have the 38th pick. Thanks for playing.

Hmm. After reading this by NIKEstrad:

And then this (in another thread):

the wheels started grinding in my head. Could the Heat be willing to drop 5 spots (their #10 for our #15 + Kenny) in order to reward us for not taking their #38 pick? Applied learning. What a skill.

That just might be enough to get into position to grab Butler, Woods, or Jeffries...

That's pretty clever thinking. It would be nice to move up to 10 this year. I see the quality of player being a bit better at 10. Good idea.

Vesceysux, with all due respect, that sounds about as credible as your namesake. ;) Sorry, just couldn't resist. :p
