For you tech savy people out there....

There's an app that has been discovered by my bro and some of his friends.

The app requires a rooted Android device, and can boot any wifi device off the internet as long as you guys are on the same wifi.

So, as you can imagine, this can be very annoying since it is stupidly easy with this app to boot people off of wifi.

What can I do to protect my wifi devices from having this happen?

And don't say change wi fi password because I'm not the only one living in the house so I am unable to do that since everyone in the household is required to know the password at all time.

And don't say threaten brother because its either him or his friends that are neighbors, so I have no 'proof' so to say.

    What to do?

Someone will have to die. Either you, your brother, or his friend. Someone must die.

Mac Address filtering after everyone you know is in and disable ssid.

If you're still being booted off, boot them off with your own wifi killer.

    There can be only one...

You can load up Wireshark and look for a constant stream of ARP packets directed at your IP address or the gateway. You can filter out only ARP packets by typing arp in the filter box and click apply,.

If you are receiving a lot of ARP responses without sending any ARP requests, you're probably being spoofed. Additionally, you can check the MAC address provided by the ARP response against the MAC address of the router if you know it. (usually found on the actual router on a sticker ) If they are different, you are most likely being spoofed.

To prevent it, you'd probably need a high end or complex router. However, as someone else mentioned, you can use mac address filtering to just get that device off the network.

Get a dual band router. Let your brother have one band, and you take the other. Have different passwords. Problem solved (if that even is your problem).
