If your talking about Ellis, he has been playing well the whole season averaging double figures in points over the season.
Ellis has been starting alongside BDavis and avg 18 per. But since Baron was injured and misss the last two games, Ellis has scored 31/7 against seattle and 31/7 against Pheonix. Those were two spectacular games, but he isnt likely to continue to avg 30+ without Baron anyways. Ellis should continue to avg 18 or so a game when Baron returns which is most likely Tommorow; as he was listed as questionable against the Suns and probable for tommorows game. Ellis is a STUD & will do fine statisctically with or without Baron, but the team will do much better with Baron back, especially since Jason Richardson is still trying to regain his form and conditioning from knee surgery. Beidrins is having a great year AND is still only 21 years old. The kid is LONG and very agile for his size 6-11ft. His offensive game is limited, but he has great hands and converts on almost everything if its 5 ft and in; due to his quickness, height, length and drive. Beidrins strength is his non stop hustle and drive. He's a great rebounder, scrapper, shot blocker and a very good finisher. Imagine a Chuck Hayes that is 6-11ft with length and no loss of speed. Oh and Kelly Dwyer, Im glad i wasnt the only one to see that GREAT dunk by Ellis over Barbosa. The kid took off from the dotted line and JAMMED it over a jumping Barbosa. That was a great game BTW, Nash won it for Pheonix with a 3 leaving 4 seconds left.
From the game I saw, Biedrins plays like a taller Kwame Brown, but with better hands than Kwame, but less polished than Kwame. I too have Biedrins on my SalaryCapFantasyOne team on NBA.com Anyone here play in the Rockets League...it was an open league when I joined and has about 75 active teams (any player can have multiple teams, though I believe only a few do this). Anyhow, I too screwed up early with Diaw and such, but have clawed my way to the leaderboard baby! My 3 teams are 1st, 2nd, 6th place right now. In the overall standings, I'm 2,537th out of 199,672. While I'm somewhat disapointed, I realized that the system sucks and one can cheat by purchasing trades. That's such BS. Fortunately no one in the Rockets League seems to be buying extra trades (you get 2 per week that you can accumulate). There are some pretty cool prizes up for grabs in the Overall League (including a trip to NY and an appearance on NBAtv), but that's so unfair that even though it's a "free" game from NBA.com, that they add this stupid way of purchasing trades. So the overall leaderboard is full of people who spent buttloads of money to field a complete roster every day. That's weak...but it's "free" so I can't complain too much. But that's a weak way of doing things in my opinion, especially if you're handing out prizes to winners.
7 blocks! Since adding Biedriens, I have moved from 6-7th in blocks to 4th in blocks. This guy came out of nowhere.
I watch a lot of the Warriors games. Monta Ellis is a baller. He was good last year when he got some PT at the end of last season, but his game has really improved under Don Nelson. He is so quick to the rim and can finish and has a decent jump shot that the defense gives him all day long. He just needs to maintain his intensity and focus throughout the game, but when it counts, he's awesome. Biedrens probably has the softest hands in the league. He'll usually dive into the lane and finish off of other people's dribble penetration and also through backdoor cuts. Very long and active on both O and D, gobbles up a ton of boards and has really improved in his timing on defensive rotations. Against the Suns, he showed some post moves against Amare. He's really improved as a result of Nelson's system fitting him so well.
Dude dropped 30/10 tonight. Along with Pietrus and Ellis, Biedrins was another good recent pickup. My franchise value in Salary Cap is $38.9 million right now and I'm first in my league.
Yeah Moneyballers, here's my Salary Cap team. I recently picked up 3 Golden Staters and they have made my fanchise value rise dramatically. McGrady keeps going down, but I'm not lettin him go. It's my tribute to my fav player
O-Sho, good team. As of Saturday, November 25th, My teams currently are: The Moneyballers 1st place (out of 77), 2474 Points, $37.82 Million Deron Williams Steve Francis Kevin Garnett Tim Duncan Nenad Kristic Paul Millsap The Jeff Van Gollums 2nd place (out of 77), 2472 Points, $39.74 Million Deron Williams Steve Francis Rashard Lewis Dwight Howard Jermaine O'neal Andris Biendrins 11 and 1 4th place (out of 77), 2422 Points, $36.98 Million Deron Williams Steve Francis Paul Millsap Rashard Lewis Emeka Okafor Vince Carter I might be knocked off pretty soon though, temporarily at least. Omer, you have to remember that # of games played are very important. Golden State and Denver are about to hit a dry spell soon, so be careful with your trades. I used to have Baron Davis, and he was producing like crazy, but as some one here said, I should have dropped him sooner. He's missed 2 games which could have really raised my lead, which is now in jeopardy. It seems like most people in the top 10 in my league have many players in common (Steve Francis, Deron William, Carlos Boozer, Emeka Okafor, Dwight Howard), so the key for me is to try to make the most with our differences. I strategically avoided taking Boozer (I hate the Jazz too, but Deron is cool), hoping that I could out perform him with my other players. But Boozer has been a beast and his value has been rising like crazy. In the mean while, Baron Davis got hurt (sore ribs), Vince Carter slowed down, and Tim Duncan keeps missing freethrows (a killer in this point system). But I'm still moving forward hoping that I've made the right moves. Just remember the # of games and beware of injuries, for that's the only thing you are certain of. Who cares if Wade goes off for 65 fantasy points (which just happened, and damn, that did hurt me a little), for if Wade only plays 3 games in a time span where I can get Nash for 6 games, then I got to go with Nash. So I like your team and good luck, but again, watch out for those dry spells where a team plays like only 3 games in the next 11 days or something.
Woohoo, I'm surviving the night. Jazz getting blown out by Golden State (I sure hope this holds up). Andris Biedrins going off like crazy! Boozer having and off night and Millsap getting some playing time and producing. Only Derron Williams is having a really terrible night, but everyone in my league has him (6.7 mill is just too good a price to pass up on someone who averages 38 fantasy points), so it ain't a big deal. Foul out Boozer!
