We already have our "once a generation" player in LerBon playing right now in his prime. I guess to me a "generation" means a gap of at least 20 years. Wiggins is in the same generation as the king. So I guess the more proper term would be "another great one in our generation."

whoever think this kid is better than Lebron when Lebron was in Highschool is crazy. Lebron was so skilled with his passing, finishing, and defense that it was not even fair.

Agree. Just being athletic and skilled in offence doesn't mean he can compare to the 'King'. Lebron has all around skills particularly in court vision and passing and ball control like a pg. Not too many guys of his size can do that. Magic Johnson is close but doesn't have the same physical presence and athletic power as Lebron. Have you ever seen Magic doing 360 spin jam?

All of this excitement and anticipation is doing Wiggins no favor. Just remember where Shabaaz was this time last year. And any comparison to LBJ is beyond ludicrous.

You guys that are whining about the Wiggins hype, what part of "best HS prospect since LeBron" do you disagree with? Have you even seen him play?

The "whoever thinks he's better than LeBron" blather is nothing more than beating your own, made-up straw man.

Shabazz is nowhere close to what Wiggins is in terms of level of prospect. C'mon now...

He plays more like T-Mac than Lebron.

I was thinking more like the '86 phenom, Len Bias before his life was tragically cut short. Stay off the drugs, kids.

I like that he's already mastered the euro step. He would fit nicely on this team, but alas, he'll probably end up with the Cavs.

Yeah, he seems more like a natural scorer than LeBron. I remember everyone talking about LeBron's court vision even in High School. Wiggins seems more like a TMac Carmelo type that can just fill it up from all over the floor.

It's funny that the comparison on the original post is Scottie Pippen. I think this kid is already a better shooter than Pippen.

He will be overrated. But only because of the massive hype he's getting.
Its going to be sad that now LeBron only fans are going to put this guy down just like Kobe fans put LeBron down and like how Jordan fans put Kobe down.

Moronic fans will always have that "WELL HE'S NOT BETTER THAN LEBRON/KOBE/JORDAN" argument.
