If the dad story is true, I'm glad it's not Andrew himself or a child. Also if the dad story is true, damn, how many of us would take months away from a job to be there for a parent? (Or how many of us could afford to do so?) If true, good on Andrew. You can have another NBA season or two, but you won't have another dad. I really enjoyed the way Mitchell Wiggins played the game, FWIW. The drug stuff was pretty tragic and definitely happened in an era where there wasn't much help or sympathy with addiction issues. "Just say no," was kind of the law of the land, other than jail time.
