In all fairness, Robert had the talent to become one of the top leading actors in the industry. Plus, who doesn't want to be a City Slicker or a Farmer.

As for my opinion of the show itself, I agree that the comedy stylings have differed, and to try and compare the current with the classic will always leave for bitter discussion. If it wasn't for the legacy of the show itself though, would it still be on, would the same guests appear? Of course that is all in stride with my distain for the masses of todays "entertainment". Albeit, its a matter of taste, so if the public cares for it, carry on. I'd just rather maintain my pretentious palate. :D

I was impressed with "The Rock", he was actually pretty funny. I dont feel you can compare one SNL cast to the next. Akroyd, Chase {albeit brief}, Curtain, Belushi, Morris, Murray were my favorite`s but it`s impossible to think they can have that type of line up year after year. The Brian Fellows skit was hillarious :D

    Andrew WK?!?!?

    Can you spell "sucks"?

If I wanted to listen to somebody scream at me, I would call my Mom on the telephone.

I'm pretty sure Andrew W.K. is just fooling everyone. I bet they had to do several takes for each song during the recording of the album because he couldn't keep himself from laughing.

The hightops, the long hair, the fact that four of his songs contain the word party in them. How could this not be a hoax? Nonetheless, I find the album pretty entertaining.

I didn't see the performance, but I have seen Andrew host a couple shows on MTV 2 and he's all freaking weird in them also.

It's kind of funny to see how freaking stupid he is...

MTV thinking his video is a "breakthrough video" is a joke though...

The eternal question: How does someone DO that so much in a span of like 4 minutes. If I attempted all those fake seizures, I'd be lying on the ground with a real migraine in no time.

I having been gone for 3 days I back....

Unfortunately Andrew doesn't seem to have a very good live voice. He sounds much better on CD though. Like dimsie said, the British press is calling him the new saviour of rock....

I wasn't aware that he was popular enough to be on SNL though. I don't watch MTV or listen to the radio, so I'm not sure if he's getting airplay there, but I didn't think so.....seems like he just burst onto the scene and got the SNL gig. Must have good management.
