Andrew Bynum - not interested in Magic, could be interested in Houston in 2013?

Better chance of building one around him than Howard. Not a liability offensively at all.

Forgot to add one of my favorite quotes:

"It takes twenty years to build a reputation and five minutes to ruin it. If you think about that, you'll do things differently."
    --Warren Buffett

I disagree. It takes five SECONDS.

We should completely drop the Howard chase and start going after Bynum, whether that's now or in free agency

    According to NBA.com

    Blocks:

Brook Lopez has a total of 414 and Bynum has a total of 628 and Bynum has played 3 more seasons

Lopez career averaged in points is 17.4 and Bynum is 11.7

So I think your just looking at the names and not the stats

Just went at Friedman with the same argument

    So you get out!

They don't have to necessarily believe one is better than the other.....While it's true the Lakers have invested a lot of time and money, I'd imagine they want to insure themselves against the downside risk that goes along with Andrew's horrible injuries...Sell high..(different deal than the situation w/Dwight's back)Sure, the relationships Bynum and the LA brass are strong, but in the end this is a business.

Personally, I see it as a gamble that could well pay off for us. This is a manchild who has become a full grown monster....At first glance, it's a no brainer...

I wouldn't worry about his "attitude"......What are the odds he will hold up long enough to be the cornerstone of a franchise, though? See, that's the thing.....

You're ignoring the fact that Bynum averaged 20 and 11 this year. Brook Lopez is a 7 foot center that gets outrebounded by Kyle Lowry. There is much more to being a defensive player than simply blocking shots. Lopez is slow and not a solid post defender. Bynum isn't the sharpest defensive player either, but he's a big body and has shown great improvements.

We should get bynum, since we can build a better team around
    him than d12

Bynum would probably actually resign with us. Howard probably wouldn't.

5-6 years of Bynum>1 year of Howard

It changes everything. Based on the information we have, there's no reason to believe Howard would stay in Houston. Bynum, on the other hand, sounds amenable to it. That makes trading for Bynum infinitely more desirable. That is, unless for some reason you'd rather have the superior player for just one season.

Dude are you really arguing that we should go after Lopez instead of Bynum? This is arguably one of the worst opinions i have ever heard on clutchfans.

If Bynum is traded to Orlando and leaves won't he lose alot of money?

I wrote last week about a three way with us facilitating Howard to LA with us receiving Bynum since he has no desire to sign in Orlando. We would provide the Assets and the two big boys would slide over one chair. My fear has always been LA would chicken out on Bynum and DM would make a desperate move and take Gasol who doesn't want to be here.

Your ignoring the fact that Lopez averaged 20.4ppg and 6.0rpg the year before last. He only played 5 games last year and is still on pace to past Bynum recent block total by his sixth season. Blocks is more of defense than rebounding to me because you have offense and defense rebounds. Like I stated y'all looking at the last name and who they play for rather than Statistics and by the way Bynum averaged 18.7ppg last year

Yes he will, which is why he (and Howard) might be bluffing.
