Thanks.... But, it is more about comparing them at the age of 20......if Bynum has half the career as Dream he would count himself lucky. DD
At the age of 20 : Hakeem was a dominant and intimidating force on defense in the paint. His offense was fierce, but unpolished. His athleticism and footwork allowed him to ram dunks down people's throats at that age - nobody could get up with him as quickly to try and block him. I've only watched a couple of games of Bynum's, so I can't comment.
The Lakers escaped murder, although I thought that should of been a no call too because the Lowry just jumped into Kwame. Its the jumping straight up rule that is in effect... although Kwame gets the call but yao usually doesn't.
Yeah, the refs definitely handed this win to the Lakers. First the foul call when Kwame missed the Dunk and then the no call at the other end. Only if the Rockets also had the same support from the refs.
With Bynum out, the Lakers are going to struggle. I was shocked to see Kobe not hogging the ball the last 40-45 seconds. Maybe, and just maybe, he's finally maturing!!!????
I hope it is.. no j/k. .. (man I truly hate that guy and the rest of the Lakers, I hate every single one of them, starting with Kobe and ending with Turiaf)...
I remember Hakeem being interviewed after one of his first break out games at U of H after he was made a starter. He had something like 20 rebounds in the second half. Hakeem said: "Coach Lewis tell me (at half time): "you get all the rebounds; we win the game." His English was pretty rough. At that time the guy was literally getting better game by game as U of H played in the final regular season games and the NCAA tournament.
losing bynum won't matter against teams like seattle who they have up next but their next several games after will be against contenders. hopefully they collect some losses. rockets are currently 7 losses behind the lakers.
