I dont know why thw sixers didn't go direct for Howard with Denvers help.
they only needed to put one more 1st round pick.

now they are stuck with Bynum.

Stuck with Bynum? Yeah, for the next, what, 2 months? He's a free agent, they can simply let him walk.

Sixers swung and missed on that trade. Not only Bynum but Jason Richardson too.

Howard would have never re-signed with Philly...or at least I really doubt he would have.

They went for a high risk high reward move, and it just didn't work out. I really don't blame them.

Not really that high a risk....Bynum is a huge expiring contract.

Not a high risk? They lost some very key assets for absolutely nothing.

If they had Vucevic, Iguodala, and Harkless, the Sixers would DEFINITELY be a playoff team this season. It was a tremendous risk that completely backfired on them.

Like what? Iggy is a good role player at this point in his career. They made the right call, it just didnt work out

Iggy wasn't coming back because the Sixers were stale with him as the lead player and he detests Doug Collins. They should have traded him (or packaged him) for someone else.

Thomas Robinson is extremely injury prone and out for the season?

Dude is useless. Plays 5 minutes a game. Team better off giving those minutes to other people.

Even if that was true, we aren't paying him $15M/year, giving up great assets for him. It doesn't compare.
