Bogut would fit this team perfectly he is by the far the best fit from : Lopez, Sanders, or any big that is available. I too hate him but that is another reason we need to get him. Hes the type of players opponent teams hate but teammates love. Great (illegal) screens, great defender, great rebounder....he checks all the boxes we are looking for and then add his unique passing ability and he is just perfect for us
That is very surprising, would be a very intriguing option especially with him adding a 3pt shot to his offensive arsenal this year...would love this move if bogut isnt brought in
You don't think Gortat is going to retire a Rocket? I mean, how long did we have to wait for NeNe? Morey doesn't have to get him as a spring chicken, but Morey get's um.
Bogut if healthy and by all accounts he is. Is a much better player and fits the team better than sanders. Nobody knows what sanders can do, he hasn't played ball in over 2 years. Getting a wing upgrade would be nice but tbh bogut for 3.5m is better than sanders plus whatever wing we could get with the change left over. Maybe I'm wrong and a good wing becomes available but I don't think there will be someone of boguts talent and ability. Bogut is a game changer for us I hated him on golden state but he is a good player and has championship experience.
That's cool let them take him. I gaurentee the Cavs would rather have bogut over sanders. Your speculating a lot that sanders is even good. You don't quite basketball for 2 years and then come back and contribute 25 games out of the playoffs. He was overrated in Milwaukee and paid more on what they thought he would become. He's a major red flag and someone who could potentially disrupt chemistry. Not somone I want anywhere near this team.
Sanders is not someone who's expected to come in and contribute significantly. He's insurance. I think his recent commitment to returning and being in a winning situation with a laissez-faire coach could help him out.
The part of the tweet that was to be emphasized was that he exceeded expectations, not that Cleveland should still get him. We will not be paying him what Milwaukee was so that is irrelevant. He's a better shot blocker, offensive rebounder, and better career DEF efficiency. Bogut has an equal or greater chance to disrupt chemistry.
