And Bazemore chose Atlanta over Houston.

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    Houston did get two birds.

I think the realistic playoff hopes comment referred to letting him choose between Dallas/Houston or Philly.

Hey, Bogut when healthy is better than any center we have. He probably looked at Pringles vs. Carlisle and made a wise choice. His body couldn't handle the running we are planning to do.

That being said, I dislike him as a player. I'm glad we'll have the chance to spank his team 4 times a year.

We have enough injured players. No need to add one who's a dirty douche.

That's probably the reason right there. Then you add playing with MDA and he probably wasn't going to be much use any ways.

Morey had an interview on Monday or Tuesday with 610 and revealed something like that.

When asked about the Durant signing he said something about how the Warriors let the player they let go to the place he wanted. From that and the rumors going around that Houston was trying to land Bogut once Durant signed, I concluded that Houston was the other team trying to land Bogut but Bogut chose Dallas.

As much as I hate Bogut, he would have been a really great get at center. Tough, dirty but is still a great defender and his passing would have been a very welcomed addition to this team. I understand why he chose Dallas though with Barnes headed there.

Oh well, now that he is on the Mavs and chose them over the Rockets, he gave every Rockets' fan even more reason to hate him. He could have possible gotten the JET treatment here as the sworn enemy who became somewhat of a fan favorite by joining us. Oh well...

Barnes and Bogut are good friends; could have been a big factor.

Coaches probably also was a factor.

He wasn't going to play much under Mike D...probably.

He figure he could get 25 to 30 minutes in Dallas, but probably 20 minutes in Mike D's offense

Lol what a moron. I can only assume he chose them so he can be with Barnes. Either way I'm glad he didn't choose us. Offensively challenged.

First thing that came to my mind.

I would have absolutely hated to see Bogut in a Rockets' jersey.

It would have been the exact same deal as Dallas did.

As CH already mentioned, the noteworthy component is that Morey valued 1yr of Bogut + more flexibility over paying/extending Harden.

I feel like the right decision was made and Morey was saved from himself

I love TM editorializing that the reason AB choose the Mavs was because of "realistic playoff chances". I'm sure he choose them because he thought he could get more playing time.
