    Kirilenko notches triple-double with 10 blocks

    Andrei Kirilenko - F - UTA - Mar. 25 - 11:30 pm et
    Andrei Kirilenko racked up a triple-double with 15 points, 14 rebounds and 10 blocks Saturday against the Kings.
    Kirilenko added three assists and three steals in his second triple-double of the season. His previous career-high was eight blocks, done eight times. He's blocked at least four shots in eight of the past 10 games now. Utah goes 4,3,6 in the final three periods, so keep AK47 active the rest of the way. Mar. 25 - 11:30

    NICE!!!!

    I'd definitely take him, though. 15pts/8rbs/4assts/3blks per game ain't bad.

    Plus, his shooting percentage is no worse than, say, Q-Rich, Tayshaun Prince, Corey Maggette, or Antoine Walker.

    He'd be better served to stop jacking up errant three's at times, though.

    AK's still young enough so that he can develop an offensive game in time if he works at it. He's one of those athletic freaks who can do things on the court that other people can only imagine.

    Noooo
    Quadruple-Double is reserved for the Dream and co.

    * Nate Thurmond, October 18, 1974, Chicago vs. Atlanta; 22 points, 14 rebounds, 13 assists, 12 blocks
    * Alvin Robertson, February 18, 1986, San Antonio vs. Phoenix; 20 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists, 10 steals
    * Hakeem Olajuwon, March 29, 1990, Houston vs. Milwaukee; 18 points, 16 rebounds, 10 assists, 11 blocks
    * David Robinson, February 17, 1994, San Antonio vs. Detroit; 34 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists, 10 blocks

    Nearly missed:
    * Hakeem Olajuwon, March 3, 1990, Houston Rockets vs. Golden State Warriors; 29 points, 18 rebounds, 9 assists, 11 blocks. The initial boxscore read 10 assists, but the figure was corrected by the league.
    * Clyde Drexler, November 1, 1996, Houston Rockets vs. Sacramento Kings; 25 points, 10 rebounds, 9 assists, 10 steals

    AK is the all-time career leader in stat-line threads started.

    ...and yes, he would be the penultimate sidekick on a championship team.

    You are under-estimating AK. He will be the first player ever to get a quintuple in an NBA game, a class of his own. He came rather close this year once in a game against the Lakers. He's only 24, and someday he'll get it.

    on at least a semi-running team with the right point guard, he could be shawn marion. sadly, he'll never be that in Utah, esp. under Sloan.. and he doesn't seem like the type to get pissed and leave. Here's hoping he's traded somewhere so he can flourish
