If Carr threw deep to AJ once or twice a quarter like Culpepper would to Moss or Mcnabb to Owens, we could possible add on 14 points a game. What's the hold up? If AJ relizes he can't get the ball, he's bigger and stronger than the safeties out there and will knock the ball down preventing an interception. I've ben expecting these play calls since the beginning of last year. It's not like we have much to lose. We can't even score 14 points a game.
Probably the same answer as drafting a QB with the #1 pick and then going with a conservative offense, and not making an effort to protect him by upgrading the line.
The stone hands receivers need to be punished every time they drop an easy ball. Run til they vomit, stadeum steps til they pass out. They need to care more about catching the ball. If pride and professionalism doesn't do it, naked fear might. Treating these guys like professional football players is a mistake. Our receivers, outside of Dre, are posers. They play dress up in football uniforms. Make them pay.
Great moments in Texan talent evaluation. 1) Run off Steve Foley, who made the Pro Bowl at linebacker with San Diego the next year, so they could throw away numerous draft picks for the Invisible Babin. Nice body art, no game. 2) Run off a step slower All Pro cornerback and ALL WORLD football leader in Aaron Glenn, so they could throw away numerous draft picks for the all too visible, weak minded, weaker hitting, no effort, receivers best friend Buchanon. 3) The same genius's who brought us the above, just promoted the coach resposible for worst offensive line in the league to offensive coordinater. Maybe the whole offense can perform up to the level of the offensive line.
While I agree with you for the most part, Derrick Armstrong is a beast. He just never gets an oppurtunity to start. Goes as saying though, for some reason these coaches cannot evaluate talent.
What are you talking about? Look at all our awesome draft picks, besides AJ who we probably drafted only because ESPN said too if Rogers was gone.
