THIS. I don’t care if any of it is true anymore. The distraction alone should be worth getting rid of him. You hear about players being cancers in the locker room so you drop them. Why isn’t that happening here?!

If Easterby had any self respect and was more than a con man he would resign and go find work somewhere else given the backlash to his involvement, but he's not much more than a con man.

Hopkins jumped in for more of his favorite past time...getting into the mess of his favorite team.

    Doesn’t matter Brian.
-We will be keeping Jack Easterby
-Andre will be removed from the Ring of Honor
-Andre will not be invited to Sunday church
-Andre will not be welcomed back for team activities, team reunions, community appearances, etc.
-We are cutting all ties with Andre Johnson. We can’t have inmates like Deshaun & Andre running the prison.

    Fire his a$$ Caserio
Cal always said the only reason he didn’t fire Easterby with O’Brien was because he needed someone to handle the operations stuff.

Well now Caserio is here and he’s running things now.

Crazy. This ends it all. Texans fall apart for the next 30 years.

Tough start - you lose Democracy and Deshaun in the same week.

Some of you guys need a lesson in management. If you cave to employee demands, then they'll never stop. You have to demonstrate who is in charge. It is not good for the Texans organization to let these current and former players "run" the organization. Tweets from the cheap seats, like from Johnson and Hopkins, are especially damaging if they are given credibility.

I say this all the while absolutely hating what the Texans have done over the last 2 years. For the LONG TERM, we need a strong front office, not one that wilts to public pressure from people who really aren't fit to opine because they lack managerial experience. I like Watson by the way, and hope we can keep him.

I mean Easterby has to go right? There is no way McNair can keep him around after Andre's blast and other pressure that is going on. My guess is that Easterby AND O'brien were behind the Hopkins trade which caused turmoil since the offseason. Just a disgrace to keep someone like Easterby on the payroll. Do we even know what his skills are or what he can offer the team? Cal needs to be done with this guy or sell the damn team.

you also don't want a front office that wilts to private pressure.

Seems as if you may like Easterby a bit more?

This isnt a typical "angry player wants more money" situation. Every single person privy to the teams struggles seem to point to one culprit. Axing Easterby is not damaging - its the only thing to do to regain a semblance of structure and company wide vision. Keeping him sends the worst possible message that its us vs you and we dont care what you think.

IF the TExans were the Patriots with banners hanging it might work, but pretending to be the Patriots isnt enough to pull this off.

Easterby can have self respect but he's not dumb. He's getting paid $5 million annually to masquerade as a preacher with direct input into the operations of a billion dollar franchise. You think a guy who had to lie on his resume to get jobs will voluntarily walk away from that? There's a reason why he was so desperate to hire his buddy Caserio.
