The article is little over a week old but it's pretty good. _____________________________ Johnson quietly making loud impact
Congrats, and there will be many more to come. As for Dunta, that just ain't fair. He has had an insane season. But guess he isn't popular enough yet.
Don't be suprised if Dunta is one of the 1st alternates chosen should one of the DB's decide not to play.
Favre is more deserving of the third Pro bowl QB spot, period. He's going to throw for 4000+ yds and 30 TDs, and his team won their division. The only argument you could make is that Atlanta has a better record. But if you say that, then Reggie Wayne and Brandon Stokely (and even freaking Eric Parker) are more deserving than Andre Johnson, and Dunta Robinson doesn't even have a chance against Bailey or McCallister. Atlanta wins because they play great defense and run the ball well (including Vick). But when Vick is forced to become a pocket passer, both he and the team struggle. That doesn't happen to all-pro QBs.
Atlanta runs the ball well because of Michael Vick, and the only person who can force Vick into being a pocket passer is his coach - b/c no defense can do it.
Warrick Dunn and TJ Duckett have a lot more to do with that. Do you really think that the constant spy on Vick makes things easier on those two? I'd venture that it makes it more difficult. The fact of the matter is, Vick does not read coverage well or have great ball control on his throws.
Its tough for rookies to make the Pro Bowl a lot of players make it off reputation.I heard some mention that Champ Bailey hasn't played as well this year as he has in past years that he might have made it just for that reason.I like what Dunta said I will have more chances to make it.
And Vick didn't play, hmmm . . . Not really. Dunn is an undersized scat-back without great speed anymore. Duckett is a load to bring down, but is kind of a plodder. If a defense could focus on stopping merely them as a running attack - they would easily unless they ran behind a magnificent offensive line. Yes. Yes I do. What would that linebacker be doing if he wasn't forced to spy Vick? It's the equivalent of taking the oppositions best, most athletic linebacker - and making him play with weights on his legs - b/c he has to hold up a moment to make sure that Vick isn't the one with the ball before committing himself to Dunn or Duckett.
Wait...am I supposed to be surprised or change my mind about Vick because Schuab didn't kick ass?? Is that who we're comparing Vick to, now??? This isn't an argument about Vick deserving to start. Of course he does. This is about comparing him to other starters. The guy is ridiculously overhyped as an NFL QB.
