I hope he makes it in at some point. For 4 or 5 years he was arguably the best receiver in the league.

To bad he had to waste his career with such a s***** organization. Could you imagine how much better his career would have been if he didn't have Matt Schaub throwing him the ball?

I mean Calvin Johnson was a first ballot hall of famer, right?

    Andre Johnson > Calvin Johnson

    Nope screw this guy.

Used to love him till he threw the organization under the bus. He said Texans are known for wasting players careers.

He is literal proof that what he said is true about the Texans.

That can be said about many franchises though, if I’m not mistaken I didn’t hear Calvin mention anything like that and he played for Detroit o_O

We had some good teams with him. 11-1 at one point. Won the division a bunch.

he didn’t find more success when he left as a free agent.

Not everyone is drafted to a team that wins the super bowl

He was already like 32 years old by the time he left the Texans.

In all honesty, if John McClain has a plaque in the hall of fame how valid can it be? What is McClain in for? Breaking the most stadium seats in the astrodome ?

Probably the most food consumed at HOF ceremonies

He’s one of my all time favorite players and I hope he gets in but His lack of touchdowns will be a big knock against him. He really did hit a wall late in his career though going from a 1500 yard season to a 1400 yard one and then out of the league 2 seasons later.

I blame BOB. He phased him out of the offensive game plan. Similar to what he tried to do with Hopkins.

He is literally the example of what's he saying. Andre Johnson would have been the GOAT wr if he had a competent organization.

Should have been with us for life but once more dumbass BoB wanted versatility and whatever bullsht he sht out.

Wasn't he their 2nd first round pick ever? Year 2 of an expansion team that was still trying to construct an O-line that wouldn't get a QB killed?

Shouldn't take much to look back on past expansion teams in their infancy and whether or not any of those individual players that were drafted went into the HOF. Seems like you'd have to be either a lineman (offensive or defensive) or a specialist to have the best shot. Skills players would be expected to be on a team that would take at least 3-5 years to do anything... and in the case of the Texans, since Casserly didn't have the best of plans initially (not to mention the extra pick restrictions imposed due to Carolina/Jacksonville having it too easy), they ended up being worse than an expansion team when they had to get a new regime in 2006.

That being said, to be as productive as he was... with prime years mostly on an expansion and rebuilding team.... deserves some serious HOF consideration.
