He would probably do better as a 2014 free agent as a lot of teams are saving cap space for the LeBron sweepstakes. A lot of teams will strike out and will have money to overspend.

I could see him going to the hawks. Being a focal point at the wing and they have enough room to extend smith or go for millsap. They could be be dangerous in the east.
    Teague
    Williams
    Iggy
    Smith or millsap
    Horford

You can't hamper yourself by paying a guy 9-10 million a year for the next four or five years when you already have a comparable player who makes 900k for I believe the next two seasons.

Depends on how much he asks for. Don't forget that when Parsons' contract is up, he's expected to get paid too.

He was referring to your complete inability to comprehend the concept of a salary cap.

the worst shooting 3 in the league with a god awful ft %, struggles in denver's high octane offense, far better suited to a slow half court team, would take up cap room needed for a top tier free agent. Definitely suit this team, sign him up.....

But he's not going to be worth the contract he wants or other teams gives him. (around 10 mil is my guess). Parsons, imo, is a core piece of team. He's average on defense THIS season because he's had to put more effort on offense and even if he's "nothing special on offense" he can still light a team up he's not paid attention to. If this team signs another true scorer, Parsons can be more like he was in his rookie season: a defender, spot up shooter, rebounder.

I wonder if it's possible to structure a contract where he gets paid less with each passing year and the final ear is a team option. If that were possible, I'd give him 4 yrs/30 mil. That would be a decent asset and a useful rotation player.

He could fit in nicely here as a stopper getting 30 minutes if the price was right. Parsons is much better offensively, but Iggy is much better defensively. I think we could potentially use both and it would allow us to rest Harden a lot more.

Really? That's what you would do? Sign Milsap and Iguodala with our capspace and just roll with that squad to go for a championship? Seriously? Milsap with his incredible 15 pts and 7 rebs and Iggy bringing great D and bad shooting for the 2 years left of his prime for a combined 20-25 mil a year? That's your plan? Sounds awesome.

Sounds like Iggy is looking for a max contract and he's not a max contract player.

    Pass...

can't believe he's only 29. still a good player, but already seems past his prime. i think he's a bit too reliant on athleticism to make signing him a good idea.
