We have a perfect team as long as everyone is healthy.. we dont need trade nobody except DA...

I am sick of hearing trade ideas involving Wesley or Swift or Howard...
    We need them!! jeez.

    Per earlier poster:

    "Howard/DA for Q-Rich/Trevor Ariza

Isiah is the kind of idiot that would believe reuniting Howard and Jalen Rose could be the missing link. Get it done! '

    Hilarious!!

Now THATS a deal I can get behind. But going back to trading Derek Anderson and Stromile Swift to New York for Trevor Ariza and Quentin Richardson?? What have either of the two done to justify trading Swift? Come on. Swift is averaging his career average right now and he most likely will get better. Hopefully he will get more comfortable here in Houston and continue improving.

The deal I suggested was Howard/DA for Q-Rich/Ariza. I'm willing to hang on to Swift, for now....

And in theory, I like trading for Rashard Lewis. A tall, relatively young, athletic forward that can shoot and rebound. My only concern is how would he fit in? He's not a PF and T-Mac is obviously our 3-man. Lewis can't guard SG's so that almost means you have to move T-Mac back to the 2, leaving him stuck with the more difficult SG-SF matchup---which is not what we want.

Is sura coming back? I'm out of town during this time of the year and I haven't been keeping up with everything. The second poster in this thread mentioned that sura is coming back soon. Can someone confirm? Thanks

A week or so ago, Les Alexander said on SportsRadio 610 that he would be back shortly after the Allstar break.

But, somepne posted here that they ran into Sura out in the public who said he wasn't.

So, it seems to be up in the air.

With Larry Hughes out the rest of the regular season, can we trade DA for Damon Jones??

Cavs get a SG/SF to replace Hughes.
Rockets get a PG and 3pt specialist who dont have much success in Cleveland.

    What do you guys think???

Decent idea but the contracts are not close and I don't think the Rockets want to add Jones with that length of contract. I wouldn't want him at $5 mill. as the backup PG for 5 more years. He is a good spot-up shooter but, as a PG, he is probably below average.

In terms of the Cavs, I was thinking more along the lines of Pavlovic. Young, 6'7 swingman who can shoot and on the last year of his contract.

Thanks a lot man. If he does come back, I want to make sure he is really ready. At this point, it would be nice to have him, but I just don't want him getting reinjured or anything stupid like that. But thanks for the info. That was a quick turnaround considering I just posted this about 30 minutes ago.

I like any of the trade ideas i have heard where we get someone young. al harrington, Nene, or rashard lewis.

i think DA+ a 1st round pick and maybe Head would lead to a pretty good player.

whoever that gets you...im thinking a SG would be the best fit.

    plus

    Yao C
    Tmac SF
    Alston PG
    Swift PF
    whoever SG

i think that lineup could almost compete with the pistons starting 5. but i could way wrong. but if swift could keep improving and that new (SG)??? whoever that might be that would look really good!

What are the rules in the CBA regarding trading a player with an expiring contract, then the other team waiving the player, so he can rejoin his original team? Can that still be done?

    ----------------------------------------------------------------

Well all of those trades sound great, but I was thinking on the following trade:

D.A. + Swift + Howard + Wesley? and Cash Considerations to Phoenix for Jim Jackson, Shawn Marion, and Steve Nash... We have worked wonders with Phoenix in the past, *Ahem* Charles Barkley... I know y'all may say something like: "Marion and Nash??? We'd have to give up half the team to get them!" Also, maybe something like: They have Stoudemire and K. Thomas... but you never know... I would love this trade to go down. You'd have Yao as the man in the middle, Nash as the passer into Yao, McGrady as the playmaker, and Marion as the 3 point guy, if they decided to double McGrady or Yao... and of course, Jackson, if y'all remembered, before we received Wesley, he was shooting close to 45% from 3 point range, as he scored like 27 points, 5-8 shooting from 3's... I am not sure on that number, but I think i'm pretty close...

    or

D.A. + Howard/Swift for Rashard Lewis... I personally like this trade... get the Houston-borne player back in Houston... the one that got away...

    or

Wesley + D.A. for Cassell... Possibly the most likely trade to go down...

    Your thoughts on these trades?

You want our thoughts? Well I think ur crazy, delusional, and slow if you think any of those trades could happen. Now i'm not one to put other people's ideas down but come on. You want to trade all our garbage for Marion AND Nash AND Jackson. I don't know why i'm getting this upset but damn thats stupid. Lets just say that the Suns would agree to that trade...it wouldn't even work with the salaries. Its one thing to just think out loud of putting together an all-star lineup but you actually posted it and tried to give a little analysis like it would ever happen.
