Have people thought about what kind of upgrade Anderson would bring anyway?

    3 pointers?
No. The Rockets have had great 3pt production. Anderson as a 38~39% shooter isn't that much better than Delfino at 37% or Marcus Morris at 38% or Garcia at 37%. You find find 3pt shooters at that level easily.

    Defense?
No. Delfino/Parsons at PF weren't exactly great on D. But NO with Anderson last year was a whooping 7! points worse per 100 possessions on D. The guy's more near Novak level than Chuck Hayes level there.

    Exploiting Mismatches?
Yes. This is where Anderson provides an edge as he's bigger than SFs and faster than PFs. But how many possessions would that help on? Harden and Howard will carry most of the offensive load. As will our transition game. Do you REALLY want to sacrifice 15~20 of Asik-level defense so Ryan Anderson can take some guy off the dribble 3 times a game?
