I'm not trying to contradict the OP but... Alright, here's the rumpus. One of my aunt's brothers knows this dude that is like a high level exec for the Rockets. He claims at this point the Rockets will take anything as long as it is a 3-way. The executive said, "Hey, after all this we just really need to be involved in a 3-way. That would be so Hot." He goes on to add "...the teams and players don't even matter; however, it would be nice to include Indiana. Just think, if we could pull off a 3-way and have a shot at getting Head again... I mean... You know... Wow!" I have audio, but I can't figure out how to convert it from mini-cassette to mp3. Sorry. I guess you'll just have to take my word on this one.
On the court Bayless has looked the far better player. I think he can be decent 6th man somewhere but I don't think he's what the Rockets need.
Bayless hasn't really fit in with the blazers for some reason but i like the kid. I think he would work here in houston but for anderson? I don't see why that would be done
You sure we want Andersen "beasting" it up over there and haunting us if we're to pull the trigger on this one?
bwaahaha...bwahahaha..hahaha..BWHAAHAHAHAA...BWHAHAHAHA...BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!! In other words, I'll take that risk gladly. Andersen is not NBA material and at least Bayless has some potential.
PRETTY PLEASE! Brooks/Lowry Bayless/Battier Ariza/Harrington Scola/Landry Hill/Hayes B4 Yao comes back!
Apparently Por offered Blake and Outlaw for Camby so they obviously are shopping around for a big. I have no problem flipping Andersen for an asset.
Kinda what I was thinking I dont understand what the OP is saying by the whole Andersen doesnt do much. He can score. Thats all he was brought in to do. Did you guys expect him to jump or something??? I see Andersen as a fast learner.... I think we can get better then Bayless for this..
If you change Andersen to Landry, Portland might do that. Blazers even want to trade out Blake and Outlaw for giving Bayless more minutes, never, ever has chance to trade Andersen for Bayless, never...
Actually, I may have a theory on how such a seemingly lop-sided deal would be possible. If the Rockets get Al Harrington in the McGrady deal, they could then flip him to Chicago in a three-team deal with Portland. The Blazers would get Tyrus Thomas (who Chicago has already offered to New York for Harrington), and the Rockets would get Travis Outlaw's expiring contract from Portland and perhaps Jerome James's expiring contract from Chicago (to make the salaries work). In a SEPARATE deal (since Harrington cannot be traded in combination with any other Rockets players), the Rockets would send Andersen to Portland for Jerryd Bayless. Sure, that's not an even exchange; but it would be in consideration for the Rockets facilitating the separate deal to net the Blazers Thomas. Just a theory.
^ i like that reason would probably make portland pull the deal for camby so bayless becomes the third string pg for them again allows RA to play the lowry/brooks combo more since bayless can be the third pg in that mix
