http://www.forbes.com/sites/alexkan...he-low-road-with-ahmadinejad-as-monkey-tweet/ John McCain Takes the Low Road With Ahmadinejad as Monkey Tweet John McCain took the low road today, comparing Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to a monkey on Twitter in an attempt to mock Ahmadinejad’s declaration that he would be willing to be the first Iranian sent into space. The tweet followed a report by Iran’s IRNA new agency in which Ahmadinejad was quoted telling a group of space scientists that he was willing to “be the first Iranian to sacrifice myself for our country’s scientists.” The statement was in reference to an Iranian plan to send a human into space. Last week, Iran was said to have sent a monkey into space, but the ensuing photo evidence provided by Iran caused confusion as to whether monkey did indeed make the journey. The truth in the matter is still unclear Regardless of whether the monkey did go into space, McCain took to Twitter today after learning of Ahmadinejad’s declaration and decided to compare him to the so called space monkey. “So Ahmadinejad wants to be first Iranian in space – wasn’t he just there last week?” McCain joked. The Senator then linked to a Yahoo! News report about the monkey. The tweet came off as petty and, while some on Twitter applauded the joke, many others did not find it so amusing. This is not the first time a McCain joke about Iran has received mixed reviews. During his 2008 presidential campaign he took flack for singing about bombing Iran to the tune of the Beach Boys’ Barbara Ann.
This! I seriously doubt McCain Tweets his own Tweets In fact I'd say this about 70~80% of 'personalities' Rocket River
I sincerely doubt that had he been elected, he would have said something like this as President. His moron for a VP, on the other hand...
There's nothing wrong with comparing anyone to a monkey. But a U.S. Senator should not be doing it to foreign heads of state. It's unbecoming and childish really.
