No I act like Tmac had a good game. YOU guys are the ones acting like its no big deal that he played well. Which is funny because you don't act like its no big deal when he sucks.

And thats all I'm trying to bring attention to. If Tmac airballs all those 3s its a big ****ing deal. But he makes them all and w/e... I bet if Brooks made them you would be all over the guy, and rightfully so. I just ask that you extend the same courtesy to Tmac. Give him credit for good games atleast.

If Tracy had attacked the rim, posted up & made a bunch of mid-range jumpers, ran off picks to get uncontested shots, etc, THAT would have shut people up. A hot shooting day by an average/below average shooter doesn't prove anything. If Brent Barry had hit four 3-pointers tonight, he would have shut people up.

Loudmouth "Whos the best in the game right now?"

    Tmac "Jelly Bean"

    Loudmouth "Kobe?"

    Tmac "Hands down"

Why when kobe wanted a trade and the thought of offering tmac for kobe was shut down by this board? What a shame. Tmac is an old injury prone player now, cannot wait til his contract expires. What a waste of cap space.

this game is meaningless if we win, and horrific if we lose.
Yeah I'm old. I like championships not first round exits and mardi gras celebrations when we beat horrendous teams.

you guys are popping the champagne bottles over this game?

    yeah, where's your proof pal.

I write all these "WE ARE BEST THREADS" after a win vs a crap team.

I posted tons of threads, have fun looking through all of them to see when i ever did this.

Actually, to be honest with you, I rather have Brooks shoot from long range than tmac. He is pretty consistent and I trust his shot more than anyone on this team. Tmac is supposed to be the heart and soul of this team. Scoring 20 pts isnt really a good game by any means. Although I will give tmac some credit for actually trying today.

Let me give you the reverse of tonight. I forget which game it was (the Mavs in Dallas?) earlier this season, but Tracy attacked the rim a lot but wasn't able to finish many of his shots. Even though his shooting percentage wasn't that great, people gave him props for trying to do the right thing.

You're just going to have to understand that Tracy's 3-point shooting won't get him many props here, for good reason. He chucks way too many of them to the detriment of the Rockets.

true. but without passing through here, we can't get there, eh?

if one day i can't get at least half excited, then i will know it's time for me to quit watching - at least the regular season. i'm glad i'm not there yet.

now it's time for me to ask - did you watch the game? ;)

so tracy taking wide open 3pt shots is called "chucking."

the guy does everything wrong it appears. they didn't run things through tracy tonight. he played within the offense knowing his limitations.

why are you guys expecting tracy to do normal tracy things when he can't right now. instead he's using his BRAIN and playing within the offense.

the game i saw had us losing to the freaking wizards til the 4th quarter.

and that the horrible coaching of eddie jordan left his decent players (jamison and butler) on the bench until we tied the game, which was around the 6 minute mark.

the game I saw had the wizards ISO-ing a bench player, Juan Dixon on offense

the game i saw had Yao WHO WAS NOT FRONTED by a rookie dude name McGee.

the Lakers or the Celtics would have blown the Wizards out by 20 points.

why it took so long for the Rockets to put them away, I don't know.

I will give him his due. His getting hot saved our asses tonight.

It shouldn't have come down to that, though, for all the reasons tinman points out.

The thing that worries me is that this could be a green light in Tracy's head for him to keep jacking them up.

At least he's figured out that an extra step back gets him an extra point. Hopefully he didn't just get hot and has been working to improve his shot.

on the scale of happiness, 10 - we won the nba finals

this is a 2 - i'm happy we won and that we didn't have an embarrassing loss to the worst team in the league without gilbert arenas playing. it would have been a 1, but tmac/yao/artest playing well bumped me up to a 2

    you happy now?
    :p

there really shouldn't be a competition on whether tmac is good or that he sucks.

please get this straight though....no one is doubting tmac! but the guy who we consider so talent simply hasn't given the fans a worthy a performance. so please stfu about this "doubting tmac" crap and show your face the next of many games that tmac has a bad game.

again, i really dont even think there should even be this sort of competition on praising tmac or realizing reality. this guy is many games has not lived up any where close to his expected potential.

props to tmac tonight for a good game though. he was lighting it up in the 4th!

he has worked on his 3pt shot. 40% from 3s so far. he has worked on his fts. 81%.

now just gotta get that strength in that knee and he's ready to go.

hey, how come you respond TWICE to the same post of mine? that was not fair.

but to tell the truth, yeah i AM happy. every rockets win gives me joys. even the pre-season games.

if winning the finals is a 10, then tonight is ... a 2 for me. see, we can finally agree on something. ain't all that bad.

all the best, to all.

p.s. - but if we beat the magic handily tomorrow, and yao owns howard (i have a little doubt on that) once again, it very well could be a 9 for me. :D

Damn i guess i was late.. Im glad someone started this thread..McGrady is the player of the game along with Landry. Both played great tonight. Along with Yao and that one powerful dunk he did on the rookie. Yao really needs to play like that everytime. Its painful to see him not play with that passion all the time. 7'6 the guy should be dunking on everyone. Instead he gets his shots blocked or is laying the ball up. Come on Yao "No Layups". Im glad Artest realized that with his dunk earlier but he got into foul trouble.

Last but not least for the Player of the Game. T-Mac!!!!! I wonder what the haters have to say now. When the game is on the line give it to your go 2 guys and McGrady stepped up once again. 3 after 3 after 3. We should give props to Skip also. Even tho he sucked the whole game his one and only shot started it all.

... man, it's a 1 for me. It's not like the Rockets flipped a switch and played like champions to earn the victory.

    Tracy just got hot.

We were the cheap AI from NBA JAM.

do we really need a damn T-mac/Yao/Artest thread after every game?

I mean I get it "ohhhhh trade T-mac he's garbage" or "ahhh wow T-mac showed all the haters what's up"

Either way constancy is key , and nah not bashing T-Mac dude is mad talented, once dude gets his confidence back as well as Yao/Artest **** will be on lock. Stop being so quick to expect the worse , and lets hope for the best.

"He made some shots tonight, but it is going to be a process with him," He just has to keep pushing himself and try to find a way to keep attacking (the basket) and not settling for just jump shots. But tonight, he found the groove at a great time."

looks like someone is singing the same song as many have sung here. guess who? rick adelman.
