What a joke. He got hot and just hit the same shots he usually bricks. Some of you are way too easily amused.

He wasn't dominating, he basically just made open 3s (although there was the one two he made that was a vintage Tmac jumper). But the fact that it was a comeback win, and him knocking down key shots in the 4th... you just gotta give him credit for his game tonight.

am I the only one that can recall Tracy's outside " J".. being a high elevation laser shot..?

a little more credit please.. this is exactly why constructive criticism get's lost.. the constant half-arsed throwing out of both fanatical extremes..

See... this is bull****. If he has a bad game you all take turns ****ting on him. But if he starts hitting jumpshots in the fourth that happen to coincide with a 18 point swing in the 4th that wins us the game... he just got lucky. Give the guy his ****ing credit.

That was a good team quarter that won the game. The ball movement in the 4th got T-Mac and others wide open looks that they made. That is the reason for the win.

It's not about T-Mac being back or not, it's about sharing the ball which leads to taking good shots. They need to start putting together 4 quarters though.

the rockets wouldn't have been behind if he'd gave a crap the rest of the game.

not that I'm a hater. but the man is obviously playing hurt and his mind is obviously very bipolar right now.

Um no. I never said he "got lucky." I was refuting the asinine assertions in this thread that he somehow 'dominated' or the presumptions that this performance somehow indicated that he is disproving the 'doubters.'

He hit some big shots. They however have no bearing whatsoever on a long term evaluation of where he stands right now in his rehabilitation as the OP insinuated. Until I see him drive to the basket, move without the ball, or consistently make some semblance of defensive effort, I'll withhold from making rash, sensationalist claims based on one quarter of made open jumpshots.

tracy still has A LOT of game. but we can all see he's limited.

but he understood that and played within himself. he never got down on himself when he wasn't scoring and stayed within himself. like i said, he'll get better.

if these are the types of shots he'll get once he is healthier, you might see a very efficient tracy mcgrady.

after this game, tracy is shooting 40% from 3s and 81% ft. dude has really improved those areas.

the overall fg% isn't as good b/c his off the dribble game is very limited right now. he'll get there.

the good thing is that he's been shooting teh ball relatively well the past 4-5 games considering the circumstances. he's slowly getting better (though too slow for most of us fairweather fans)

well he did play only 30 minutes. extrapolate that per minute scoring, statistically, he was dominating ;)

Man, how often do you expect him to do that? With his hot 3 pt, one after another? When was the last time that he was able to shoot 3pt one after another, like this?

It is great that we won, but I am afraid that it might send a wrong message to T-Mac, and he thinks that he could jack up 3s again and again to save the game, instead of drive more to get more consistent result.

Everyone can be hot in a game once in a while, you call this "STFU"?

his form is the same as before. he has "de-elevated" the elevation on the 3 and this year he's shooting 40% from 3s. his 3s have been money this year.

You are missing it. Nobody is complaining. People are just disagreeing with the OP that Tracy shut anybody up. He didn't. Like everyone else, I'm glad his shot was unusually on tonight. But don't act like he answered any questions. We still don't have a flipping clue what he's going to do the next game or two (or five or season). It's more of the same question marks.

the knee limits his penetration and thus the types of shots he usually takes and can make. right now, these are the only shots he can make consistently. his knee prevents him from going off the dribble.

so if this is how he's going to score for now and play within the offense, more props to him. no need to be superman when you can't

Tracy's shots have never been known as possessing any semblance of an arch.. also.. "de-elevated"..? that's a change in his form.. as his form throughout his careers has been based on high elevation with a flat shot..

Ok, I can at least agree with with what you said. On your last comment tho.. about not making sensationalist claims. Whenever he has a bad game people like to make sensationalist negative claims about Tmac. So I think its only right that those same people say good things about this game.

That only makes sense right? If you make bad comments when he has a bad game, you should make good comments when he makes good claims. Thats assuming everyone here is a neutral Rockets fan that doesn't have any bias against one player, which I'm sure no Rockets fan here is guilty of (sarcasm).
