Im torn... on the one hand...no more Rockets for a while. on the other hand... no more Rockets for a while... ...so I can actually get some sleep instead of staying up till 2am or later working on the videos also...the numerous threads talking about who needs to go and who we should get just doesnt do it for me. and Hangout aint what it used to be.
Well, I'm with Clutch on this one. I LOVE the offseason, and brainstorming on this BBS. During the game year, this BBS is SO up and down with panic posters responding to any losses in extreme illogical manner. Once the bandwagoners leave, then the rest of us enjoy a more relaxed reparte. I love studying all the possibilities and guessing/debating the Rocket's brass' next moves, hunting for rumors, and hoping in the future. Its time to play Fantasy GM!
It will be time to wake up soon. It was only three years ago about this time of year that you dialed my cell phone as I wended down a West Virginia mountainside screaming about how the Rockets had won the lottery and thus the rights to Yao-- if they wanted him.
R2K- You probably deserve this offseason more than the Rockets do. Thanks again for all the videos this season.

I like the off-season, it's just that I like the games so much more. I hope the off-season will be as active as some here believe. I was expecting it to be fairly dull. Hope you guys are right and I'm wrong.
just wondering.... how many people on this board are good at playing basketball or atleast play the game for about 4-5 times a week?

I'm not sure what your defintion of 'good' is, I'm not bad thats for sure but yeah I play at least 4 times a week at the local rec center here in the evenings/nights. the worst part of the year by far is 2 weeks after free agency begins and most of the big names FAs have been signed and most trades done. then begins the long 2 month wait from august to october where there is next to nothing to look forward to. i remember during that period last year i would watch the nba live simulations of the rockets. at least this year i have some of r2k's stuff saved if i ever need a fix.
Man, I agree with Jeff, waking up and not seeing a Rockets Chronicle article is tough. I actually enjoy this time of the year in terms of the Free Agent and trade speculation. That's fun. But still, it is a LONG offseason. I mean let's all remember last offseason when we got Tmac. How awesome and nerveracking at the same time was that? Really, the offseason is all about the CLUTCH BBS in my opinion. It is the threads about the team's future, what roster moves we can make, trades, free agents and stuff that helps me get through the summer with my Rockets jones. So here's to everyone on the board! Keep the dreamcasting coming.
