This is the only thing that keeps me alive during the off-season as well. The worst years are when we have no first round pick, don't really make any moves, etc. But man, this summer could be fun (but understandably aggravating). Spanoulis, maybe Badiane, possibly a 1st round pick, free agents, etc. What's not to like? :)

I feel all of you. I watch the playoffs here and there but not totally into it. I follow soccer and that is coming to an end as well but there are some entertaining games on FSC so I try to catch those games. I guess we just have to wait for the NFL season. Peace.

    Read a book, people!!! :D

Of all summers for it to be like this, personally I couldn't have picked a better summer. I should be thinking about my upcoming nuptuals rather than sports. :)

I have to say,... people need to plan ahead and cover your bases. I had tickets for the next round of the playoff AND I have a trip to Mexico planned for next week. - so I either way, Im good to go until the draft !

Worst of all, until the new Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) is signed, from a realistic standpoint we can't even plot strategies and scenarios for acquiring free agents or making trades.

I agree... as soon as the playoffs are over, no NBA and no NFL... talk about cruel and unusual punishment.

This blows. I like baseball (I guess) but the season is WAY too long. I've tried to watch a few playoff games this week but I usually end up switching to something else. It's just not the same when you have no vested interest in who wins.

But the good news is there's always masturbation.

Guessing I'm pretty lucky. My wife asks if there is a Rockets game so she can make plans for it. :)

Yes! To quote the kid in Animal House, "Thank You, God!" To quote Dr. Freud, "The subject of onanism is inexhaustible."

Well, it's not as if we haven't found ourselves in this situation before so we should be used to it by now. At least, Yao will be in Houston this time getting some rest and some much needed work on his game. That news really made my summer! It will also be interesting to see if the organization makes some smart personnel moves. Plus, you still have the Mavericks and Mark "MFFL" Cuban to keep you amused for a while longer.

How about the never ending saga of whether Yao staying or going back to China?

I'm with you there. All they show on TV is baseball and NASCAR. I wish they would at least televise more of the NFL Europe games or something.

Worst part of the year? What are you talking about? Last year, the offseason was the best part of the year. During the season, our team was disgusting to watch (not so much of their quality, but their style of play). The offseason was the most exciting thing ever happened last year.

This year, we might have a fun time as well.
