Sura will probably retire. I voted to keep Scott(I liked him before) & Kelenna(his background makes me root for him to make the team).
there is no way that novak or head will be cut. the worst that could happen to them is to be sent to the d-league. i would bet that sura retires and kelenna gets outplayed by every other guard at camp. IMO it would be down to scott, ryan, matt, and casey. with JVG coaching i would say scott and ryan stay.
i figured i might bump this now that preseason is underway. should be interesting since teachers pet (bowen) is out. in my book that puts him first in line to get cut since i don't think we really needed him anyway. my votes to MAKE the team in the last 2 spots are jacobson and padgett. you can't go wrong with extra shooters.
Give Bob a chance, his back won't make it til Dec anyway. We don't need Germinator as Battier is in for it. Matt who? Novak over Padgett? why not.
I personally think Sura's retiring, so that drops one choice. I have a feeling Bowen's gone with his injury and now that we have Battier on board. Kelenna's gone now that we have Snyder and Wells, who do the same things but have more experience. So that leaves Jacobsen, Padget, or Haryasz left. I think we should keep Padget because he's a great shooter and a bigger body at 6'9" for a small forward. I also think the Rockets should keep Haryasz because he's a big man who can play backup center to Yao. I think Jacobsen is going because the Rockets already have lots of guards and there really isn't room for him anywhere. In coclusion, I think Rockets keep Padget and Haryasz and the rest are cut.
Take it for what it's worth, and I've mentioned it before, but the CEO of the compay I used to work for is good friends with Sura. My last day on the job was the day Sura tried out in front of the media. He took me to lunch and I asked him about it and he said he didn't think Sura would be back. He said that Sura played a pickup game at the house with some kids and his knees were hurting afterwards.
i agree that padgett will be signed. i see your point for keeping haryasz, however, he isn't really a shot blocker, nor is he a great rebounder. i'd rather those minutes go to hayes who is a better "big" than matt, even though he is a good 6 inches shorter. i don't tihnk haryasz makes the cut.
