awww crap. Oh well. I would have liked him missing the first game or two, but you can't win them all.

This is a dream match up, I can't believe this is happening.

It is payback time. LA is going down this time around. I still remember it was Mobley's first year when he was blocked by Shaq?? And it ends the year for the rockets big 3 charles, pip, and dream?

I wish Karl plays too. It would be no fun to beat the Lakers without the old fossil from Utah. I don't care even if he's still good. I hope Mo and Cato shut him up.

Yao would be fire up against Shaq. I hope Shaq turns Yao into a monster. If Yao never get fire up, he will get fire up against Shaq... When Shaq just keeping knocking poor Yao on the ground. Then, Yao would stand back up and start playing some "inspired" basketball. He has been sleep walking the past few weeks. Time to wake up!

The only one I worry about is Kobe, the man is just nasty when he plays. He shuts down scottie when scottie was still good. And they couldn't contain him then. Now, he is just even nastier. Let's just be real... mobley can't play him... no one on the rockets team can play him.

But Steve is better than Gary. If steve just keeps his head together. A superstar, an allstar, doesn't get frustrated by second string pg! They break them to pieces, not get a silly T over it. It would be a great series. I still believe that steve is the x-factor. The rox would go as far as Steve's head. I just hope he would bring his head to the game.

If Mobley tries the same move again, Shaq will block it again. It was Gm1 by the way.

Kobe's shooting percentages against us this season:

    12/25/03-----9-26 for 23pts.....Rox win

2/11/04 -----4-7 for 14pts.......Rox win (appeared out of sync all night, good D by Cat)

    3/3/04------7-19 for 18pts.....Laker win

    4/1/04-----8-19 for 26pts.....Lakers win

I think Cat has faired well against Kobe. He has kept him in check. You can't expect kobe to not make it into double figures.

Cuttino's shooting against Kobe this season:

    4/1/04_-----12-23 for 26pts.....Lakers win (why we lost: Yao:5-15, SF: 5-12, JJ: 5-15)

    2/11/04 -----7-12 for 21pts, and 10 assists (Yao: 29pt, SF: 21)

    12/25/03-----5-13 for 15pts

3/3/04--------2-13 for 5pts (horrible shooting night for both our guards, SF: 5-12 but had 10 assists)

Over all, Cat and kobe have very similar contributions to all the Lakers vs Rockets games this season.

Didn't want to start a new thread about this....

    ESPN discussions over the matchup:

    Around the Horn.....
Bill Plaschke (sp?) made some good points. He believes the Rockets will be tough for the Lakers. He said that the game last night hurt the Lakers more than it helped them. It makes have to face a much more difficult team. Shaq has had problems with Yao, and the Rockets have Steve Francis and Cuttino Mobley, and the Lakers have no one to matchup against those two guards. He said he still believes the Lakers will go all the way, but this won't be an easy series, and then it doesn't get any easier when the Lakers will have to face the spurs. The Rockets always seem to face up well against the Lakers.

I am looking forward to hearing what Phil and the PTI crew have to say about the matchup.
