ESPN has scheduling slots on Saturday for games starting at 1 pm, 3:30 pm, 6 pm, and 8:30 pm (CST). Since 1 pm and 3:30 pm are already taken by the East, I would guess that the Rocks will play at either 6 pm or 8:30 pm

    BRING IT.

Be prepared guys, probably the last good centre play-off matchup for a long time.

hell i could see them changing the schedule at the last minute just so they can get the game on ABC. Along with China wanting to watch there guy play. And it being known that we play the Lakers well.

Also, for the Shaq/Yao rivalry to truly reach "classic" proportions, at some point it needs to happen in the playoffs. (Think Magic/Bird, Russel/Wilt ) That's why I love this matchup. The playoff series doesn't just have import this week, even if we lose, it will have intangible benefits for months and perhaps years to come. Next year, the Shaq/Yao rivalry will be even more interesting with this playoff history.

Okay, I'll stop my many ecstatic posts. Sorry for the multiple effusive rants. Just so excited I can't sleep.

It would be incredible if Rudy T was courtside for some of the games. If that wouldn't fire you up, I don't know what would.

Yao vs. Shaq for nearly a week? Yes please.

Man, I can't wait. This is going to be so great.

Yao vs Shaq, AND SF always seems to be on fire when we play the Lakers. I am loving this.

    GO ROX!!!!

Without a doubt. If the rockets come out to play against any team on national TV it is the lakers. We always have a chance with them because of the heart we seem to bring against them each time.

With Malone hopefully being out we might have a good chance.

It was so funny i am at my bar and i was rooting for the Lakers ( i know sickening huh?) but then some mavs fans came in and they were rooting for the lakers cause they wanted to play Sacremento.

Then i had another group of guys going against the lakers and i went up to them and was like ummm, you know if the lakers win Rockets play them in the playoffs. Their Jeers turned into GO Lakers in an instant.....classic.

I think this might very well be the case .. It seems like the schedule would have already been put out if they had it set in stone. It is definitely taking some time. Now that the Lakers are playing the Rox maybe they are trying to get it moved?

I love you guys but I think you'll are crazy. The damage this series will do to Yao could be irreversible. The guy is already running on fumes. A playoff ready Shaq spells only total annihilation for our young center.

Yao will be ineffective and exhausted in all but maybe the 1st game. The officiating will be atrocious. This matchup is going to be absolutely horrible.

Ha ha. Everyone who is falling over themselves about drawing the Lakers will find out real quick why that was a bad thing to wish for, just like 1999 all over again.

Btw, Malone has a moderate sprain. Expect him to play on Saturday.

As if any top 4 team in the West is someone we want to play?

We're basically looking for the most exciting matchup.

That explains most of the excitement.

No one will expect us to win, but many feel this series could a lot longer than against the Wolves, Kings, etc..

Ummm, it's more about an exciting series. A win would be great. But it should be very entertaining. The Rockets are good against in the Lakers in their history with this current franchise (of players).
