Abortion is covered. It's not the job of the hospital to decide which procedures are "morally offensive," especially when their motives for choosing not to cover it would as likely be financial as ethical. And this argument that if one hospital won't cover it, surely you could find another is akin to the old pro-life arguments that someone could cross state lines if abortion was illegal in their home state. That argument was struck down by the Supreme Court. If the GOP wishes to revive it, they'll need to go back to that court.

Armey knew what he was doing tacking this onto the bill. It was intended to kill it. And once the bill was dead, he (and the GOP) were hoping people would not recognize the cynicism and would make arguments like you made. A bill to give some remedy to poverty is not the place to have an abortion debate and Armey knows it. This kind of stuff happens all the time ("Anti-poverty? Sure, I'm anti-poverty. I'll happily sign, just as long as you'll tack on something that limits abortions."), both parties do it, and it's why politicians are regarded with cynicism.

Easy there, let's not jump the gun......MadMax is taking a much needed break. She needs time apart. So, I guess after she gets back, we'll see where we stand.

    I don't hold much hope. :(

Not so fast there buddy. You started this thing. If you're going to break it off from your betrothed you at least owe him an explanation. :)

"You've reached the voicemail of MadMax...I'm sorry I'm not here to take your call...unfortunately I will not be returning calls ever again. If your situation is an emergency, sorry. Good day."
