first off yao is doing more than fine he is a true superstar...............having said that i think 3 things would help the the situation............
    1. tell mutombo to foul in practice a bit...not to much just enough to let yao get extra practice against it since the league dsnt seem to concerned about doing anything about it
    2. send tapes into the league to point out how yao gets rapped every night
    3. either yao or jvg really get on the refs during the games..............techs or not players who argue and complain seem to get better treatment (this truly perplexes me). yao is so respectful of the refs you think they would in turn return that respect, but noooooooooooo they call bs fouls on him and look the other way when he is getting mauled. players like kevin garnett who talk **** and complain to the refs when they disagree with the calls get better calls, as was shown in the game a couple weeks back. man i still get pissed thinking about yao showing a bit of emotion and getting a tech, and then watching garnett jump down the court talk more **** and scream and get away with it! PISSED

I agree. That's what I am saying, he will make 500 more shots. Hakeem couldn't get his "And 1" either because of the refs, too. There is no way to train to get free throws, unless he is training to flop like Dirk. Yao is too aggressive to want to fall to the ground and act hurt.

well, I didn't mean literally 35 ppg, it was just a hyperbole or a "space filler" to serve the point of my post. I am really sorry because u misunderstood it. I get really mad when I throw a number like that and people actually think that I am talking about a specific thing.

I find it interesting you are misunderstood by people here a lot. Maybe you can talk like it is?

Maybe by next year he will add the "Mutombo Elbow of Death" to his game. Mutombo said this is his last year.. which gives Yao only a couple of months to get this down before next season when we won't have Deke's elbow anymore.

Make it happen Yao. Forget flopping, you're not gonna get the call.. so why not make it count and elbow them in the face?

As much as I hate them, The best teachers would be Karl Malone and Jerry Sloan. They really knew how to get the "And 1" from the refs. Karl Malone was a master at the flop and drawing the foul. He could make the shot, knock a player down, and get the "And 1" from the refs. This is coming from a 6'9" 260lb PF. He was consistently able to draw the foul from players 80-90 lbs lighter than him. He would fly 10 feet, when a PG bumped him.

The most incredible foul he drew was about two weeks before the 98 playoffs. He knocked David Robinson out with a concussion and David Robinson got called for the foul on Karl Malone. David Robinson had go to the Hospital.

Karl Malone is the best at "And 1".

personally... I think Yao should start swinging elbows Deke style. That will show the pesky guards slapping and scratching at the ball what time it is.
