watching the first quarter tonight, the lower bowl was empty. i was mostly watching the sugar bowl instead of the rockets game so I didn't see if it eventually filled up. I wish JVG or a Rockets player or somebody called the fans out about it. I know Les won't. Have a player say something like, I love the fans at the top of the arena, they are the real fans, and of course the rowdies. And then say something to stick it to those lower bowl suit and ties.

Remember all the people who pay for all of the expensive seats have their own right to view the game sitting down if the wish. That is one reason why they went to so much expense inorder to assure that they could see the game without interuption. If we cause these people to get upset at us and they dont buy the expensive seats of the Rockets, then somewhere down the line, Les either moves the Rockets or sells the team to another city. I hardly ever sit in thoes seats but even in cheaper seats I as an old man and a student of the game want to watch my team while I am sitting down. If the whole area stands up to chear of course I stand up to make my contribution. Not everyone who goes to see the game wants to do it in a rambunctious way. So we need to be tolerant of each other or the next stage might be behavoural segregation at games. I for one wouldn't like to be segregated from youthful enthusiasm.
Don't you just wanna turn back and yell: "hey pal, maybe I wanna stand the whole game, why don't you try sitting down after a night of hot man love."
but when someone makes an awesome play, or there is an exciting exchange going on between the teams, and someone decides to ask you to sit down.... those people need to go watch the game on tinmans hdtv.
Don't take that crap, man. If any old lady said that to me at a game, I'd tell her to either STFU and find another seat, or STFU and stand up herself. Her choice. ... Just not quite in those words.
pardon my ignorance, but if say by halftime, there's seats closer to yours that are plainly empty, or the people have left, are you allowed to go sit in them? Or are there stewards who patrol around or what?
The only reason those "fans" are there because it's a place to be. And Les won't sell or move the team for a while. The Rockets are locked into Houston for another 30 or so years.
