Sherlock, thank you for a very thoughtful and logical response. I, and many others I know, do not read this board much anymore because of the low level of actual basketball discussion. Mr. DaDakota is certainly entitled to post, but the same stupid repetitions argument is not interesting to people that actually want to talk basketball.

lol, you just don't get it, do you? I couldn't care less what your positions are on things, or that you're more fickle than a prepubescent schoolgirl. That's not what's irritating - you're certainly not the only person on this board that has flip flopped on an issue. It's only an issue because you make it a point to make it about you. Seriously, who else on the board routinely starts threads in response to himself and criticism directed towards him? I mean seriously, are you kidding me with this olive branch sh*t?

Fair enough, the thread was not started to be about me, it was about going forward.

It only became about me when people's criticims were directed at me instead of about the topic.

I get that people are upset with my posts this past year, it is pretty clear.

It doesn't change my opinions, but it may change my posting style and frequency.

Don't worry about these critics DaDakota-seriously - this was a good thread and needed to be posted. You took the high moral ground and showed class-to your credit.-You offered the peace pipe & olive branch-good form and well done!

If you do this, then thankfully this thread is not in vain. It will have accomplished something good.

DaDakota did not make it about himself. Bitter, classless, divisive personal attacks such as the one in your post, in a thread that was intended to unite Rockets fans, try to make it about DaDakota.

all products of a malignant culture based on a myopic 4 point agenda (centered mainly on jvg and vmac), rife with snide remarks and redundant repetitions here at clutchfans that DaDakota has developed himself...

And it's not just that he's loud, repetitive and annoying; he's been wrong a ton of times. i mean imagine if jvg had touted Dan Langhi as our savior!!

healthy debate is great, and with due respect to the other many intelligent posters on this board, i think some modesty in stating a point once and letting an argument speak for itself instead of plastering the same exact thought 1,000 times would go a long way...

We all have been wrong a ton of times. What's the point of slapping someone in the face who is extending his hand to you to make peace?

    LOL - I hope not.

The whole point of this thread was for the Anti-JVG crowd and the pro-JVG crowd to realize that the Rockets team is the most important thing, not the coach, and hopefully move on.....

I didn't ask anyone to change their mind and be less bitter about JVG or the way Les handled the situation etc.

I just asked if we could all bury the hatchet, and move forward as Rocket fans.

Then, people blasted me (and they had some valid points) and I responded to those points. I get what some people are saying - I hear ya - I have been obsessed with my belief that the coach was the one of the biggest problems the Rockets had, and my posts were swayed considerably by that belief.

I am not saying anyone was right or wrong (and for the record, I still believe the same), I don't think there is any winning that argument, I was hoping that we could all unite behind the new guy (not my first choice by the way) and just root for the Rockets.

I am done beating the JVG dead horse, and wish him luck.

Nice idea for a thread DaDakota.

So yeah, we all know that 4000 posts about VSpan can be annoying... ;) , but it's a new coach and new era. I agree that it would be most enjoyable for all to have a fresh and anticipatory outlook on things....

(And a good long ignore list ;) )

My ignore list is short, it has zero members, but I am certain that I am on more than a few...

    :D

This was a miserable year for me as a Rocket's fan, and I am sorry for spreading that misery with all my fellow Clutchfans.

I didn't mean to imply that you were on mine. Whether I agree with you or not, you have thoughtful posts. One-liners like 'so-and-so sux'. I took the opportunity this year to identify such useless posts/posters.

There was enough misery before you had any effect DaDa. Thanks again for attempting to initiate some positive vibes. It's prob too close to the rude end-of-season for many.

    yea right

Was I against Gundy and Alston from the start? ;) Did I say Gundy and Alston will be responsible for our drop out of the second round! ;) People misunderstood me and followed me with "is it first or second round"! btw we did not even get to the second round! ;)

my posts were on point if you look at it now, and I will post what I think is the best for the team....

I am not sure what problem you guys have with my posts, most of you JVG lovers can just go ahead and put me on the ignore list,

but hey, at least I don't call you out with "idiot" and "retarted"

another thing, when Adelman puts this team on top, I will be coming back and quote you guys...

I don't recall DaDakota making personal attacks on other posters.

That's fine, if he does put us on top I would gladly be quoted as having been unduly bothered by the move.

That said, if Spanoulis doesn't become the second coming of Ginobili next year, not only will I call you on it, but I think you should be forced to go to Agora and apologize to Vspan in person for portraying him as Houston's Basketball Jesus.
