An Interesting Article I read...(Could Mean Rox in Playoffs)

David Stern would make the players wear dresses if he thought he could make a buck out of it.

 

Tradition? Bah, let's give 'em what they want. Let's raise the goal to 20 feet, put giant trampolines out there, no wait, been done already, how about air pockets which propel them upward. The center is allowed to wield a water cannon.

I wish the NBA would stop with all this tinkering, it makes tradition and records more and more meaningless.

 

This would be great. The NBA finals level of now is very poor. And will be poor for next years surely. The EAST-WEST differences are very very notables. The emotion of the finals in the NBA history is now out of game. The finals are boring. The TV audiences are very low. History records is what we are talking...
That could be the solution of the NBA problems. The 16 better teams to the playoffs. This would mostrate the conferences differences. The NBA playoffs level would be so much better.
But I don't know how Stern can make that. Maybe, could be most apropiated to quit the NBA 2 conferences and make another competition system.
For example: THe NBA league could do a list of the NBA ring contenders, the playoff contenders and the lottery contenders.
What I say is to divide the NBA teams in different levels and then make for example 4 groups(like now) with teams of all levels. For example, in one group, this year could be:
- San Antonio
- New Jersey Nets (title contenders)
- Houston
- Orlando
- Phoenix (playoff contenders)
- Cleveland
- Denver (lottery contenders)

And that in the four groups. The NBA could be better. The four groups could have the same level +or-.

this is the competition system of the Soccer Champions League of Europe. This competition changed his format and now is better, so much better. The TV audience is higher and the stadium attence too. This competition had won very much since tis change...
