STOP paying Yao and trade him to another city! Why not???

Yao brings more to the city than the city pays him, period.

    My eyes hurt.

After the Olympics, Yao should retire from amateur competition and concentrate on his career, in my opinion.

oh really? any sellouts? anybody chanting yao's name for MVPs? i don't see the city of houston really that excited for the rockets or yao ming in general.

houston only cares if the team WINS. the city was united one time this year and that was v. the lakers when we were going for that 22 game winning streak. yao was not part of that game.

if you're a rockets fan, you don't care who plays for the team as long as the team wins.

our attendance is not that good since yao's been here (or tmac for that matter) b/c they don't win. the level of excitement is not that high b/c we don't win.

so no, yao does not bring a lot to the city of houston. he might bring a lot to les alexander, but not to the houston fans nor rocket fans.

Agree, and secretly I'm hoping that since we have been understanding through this year with Beijing and all to consider, that Yao will return the respect and maybe take time off of the CNT to rest. The Rockets have played the part of catering to the Chinese, and played it generously if you ask me. It's about time Yao is as independent as every other international player, where he can both rest and focus his energy where he needs to. I mean what other country has their exported talents on a leash like China does?

That would be a reasonable resolution to this drawn out affair, in my opinion.
