Um, I really don't think so. He's more of a poor-man's Rondo/Parker. At this point, really poor. But i'm hoping he'll improve his game and become a solid player.
Never seen him play, but watching some highlights he looks and plays like Sebastian Telfair... don't know if that's a good or bag thing
Yeah, I was under the impression that Rafer Alston was the BBS fall guy for the last three years and then we get this outpouring of grief when he's traded. Weird. I like the deal.
I lol'd when I read to the end of the first post and it just abruptly stopped. I agree with your topic though. Lowry is a promising young PG who can score in the paint. At worst, this is a lateral move.
I love the trade. I have had my eye on Lowry and Felton for quite some time. I understand that Lowry is undersized but I think he provides two things: 1) relentlessly attacks the rim 2) has upside potential Time will tell, but as for the move I agree with the Rockets management on this one. I do however, believe that we need to sign Artest. I am positive that Artest's game will flourish now that McGrady is out of the picture. There was a big problem between the two of them and for the life of me I do not understand why.
Rafer must be the same thing, because they have the same assists/per min numbers. At least, we get a better penetrator and defender.
Wow finally someone who's not b**chin. I was starting to wonder if there were actually any male rockets fans. I agree great post!!!
Hope he plays tomorrow. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/sCAhOmxsnq8&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/sCAhOmxsnq8&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
tall this hype and rumors were really our fault. Morey all along said there wouldn't be a big move unless a no brainer came around, it was their right to get a feel for what amare was going for and carter as well, but i think Morey was pretty straightforward in saying what thye were truly pursuing was a smaller move. We just ran with all the leaked info. I agree this is probably all we needed, well with a healthy tmac anyway, i always heard how we needed size and a bigger PF, but i always wished i could see what this team could do without rafer at the point. Ideally i would have preferred a pg like an eric snow or fisher, who aren't exceptional drivers, but set up the offense and have more than decent jumpers, but at least lowry knows he can't shoot very well from deep and will limit those shots and drive more.
he either broke or fractured his wrist like a year ago, maybe more, but i'm pretty sure that's it. I dont believe he has any lingering issues from it.
I'm not at all familiar with Lowry's game, but good to hear other fans being so high on the move. Looking forward to what he'll do in the upcoming homestand.
