Well, it's a given that Yao is going to be better in his second year in the NBA.

The guy has too much pressure to succeed. To fail isn't an option.

According to these articles, the schedule is like this:

6:30 Wake up
7:30 Breakfast
8:30-10:00 Fundamental training (The routine usually includes fundamentals, shooting and weight training)
12:00 Lunch
15:30-17:10 Tactical training (In Sat, there are practice games)
18:20 Dinner
22:00 Sleep

By no means working out 12 hrs a day.
