According to this site: https://nleomf.org/facts-figures/law-enforcement-facts, there are more than 800,000 law enforcement officers in the US. That probably includes anyone actually associated with law enforcement such as Border Security, ATF, FBI, Police Officers, etc

Being in law enforcement was the 14th highest in reagards to fatalaties per 100,000 people in 2018 as well.
