I actually asked him to clarify his statement, if you read my post correctly, which of course you did not.

 

Link me to where you asked him to clarify his statement. I just checked the last 5 pages and what you claimed above is completely nonexistent (like your intellect).

Are you going to answer why you misrepresented Northside Storm's post?

 

Both my almost identical posts were phrased as questions.

"So are you saying "Death to America" chants are justified?"

This gives him an opportunity to clarify his statement.

And I did not misrepresent anything: If he goes and says something like "you have to ask yourself why they chant 'Death to America'" and then cites some alleged wrongdoing by the USA, then that means he is establishing a causal relationship between something the USA did and the "Death to America" chants in which allegedly the USA did something wrong first.

This statement could be understood as justifying their chants.

This is why I asked the question to give him an opportunity to clarify how he meant that.

I never said they were justified in chanting "Death to America."

Just that they are doing so and there may be reasons that can help clarify why they do so. And frankly, it's better then bomb bomb bomb.

But, spin it however you want. Personally, I'm cool with spin. From an intellectual standpoint, I could find much easier ways to justify Muslims chanting slogans then Americans dropping bombs on Muslims and,to be fair, vice versa. Those are horrendous acts any moral human being would reproach. People saying stupid crap though? Eh.

 

What's intellectual about saying that bombing is worse than chanting slogans? I think pretty much everyone would agree with that, on an abstract level.

Someone explained where 'Death to America' chants started from, and you illogically took that as a justification for those chants. That's just an embarrassment to the concept of common sense.

 

I don't need a link because you are repeating the misrepresentation. If you lack the basic cognitive skills to distinguish between a question and a statement, I cannot help you.

I could pull up posts from several posters on this board who made the argument that you cannot blame all Muslims for the actions of a few extremists, but also made posts in which they blamed "the USA" or spoke of how "this country is going downhill" etc. etc.. Actually, some of the same posters would try to blame me for Germany's past wrongdoings, too.

In one case, they deny the existence of "collective guilt", in the other case, they don't seem to have a problem with it.
