The record sales doesn't necessarily mean anything to me. I'm sure there are lots of people in America that watch this show that would never go buy a pop single (me being one of them). And for the record, I don't think it was fixed because of the 20 or so people I know that watched the show, only 1-2 actually wanted Clay to win.

    Ruben rules.

Justin was on the show on one episode talking about his movie, and the Kelly in his movie has absolutely nothing to do with the Kelly on the first season of American Idol. I'm sure they named her like that so people would think otherwise, but according to him it is just the character's name in the movie, nothing more.

    Of course not, montel!
Clay and Ruben are going to do a buddy comedy where they drive cross country and get into crazy antics!

Hey, wouldn't it be great if Clay and Ruben did make a movie together?

Synopsis: Ruben plays "Ruben," a popular high school kid, who makes a bet with his buddies that he can take nerdy loser "Clay," make him immensely popular, and turn him into the Prom Queen! Many race jokes and hijinks ensue. Along the way, Ruben and Clay learn about life, love, and singing your problems away.

Synopsis: Clay plays "Clay," a wanna-be gangsta living in a posh Beverly Hills mansion, who enlists the services of "Ruben" to help him become a playa. Many race jokes and hijinks ensue. Along the way, Ruben and Clay learn about life, love, and singing your problems away.

Synopsis: Ruben is "Ruben," a street-wise egotistical cop, who teams up with the most unlikely partner -- a brilliant but socially-challenged scientist (Clay) -- to solve the murder of a prominent Broadway star. Many race jokes and hijinks ensue. Along the way, Ruben and Clay learn about life, love, and singing your problems away.

    Wow! The possibilities are endless!

Option #1 sounds like a winner. I can see Clay making some guest apperances on Queer as Folk in the near future.

I believe that Ruben really won and the contest wasn't fixed. Clay has that Dallas Cowboy stigma, where you either love him or hate him. While Ruben is that happy-go-lucky type that makes him impossible to hate. So really Ruben had two types of people voting for him, the peole who like him, and the people who hate Clay.
