American Idol Tonight

I think he can only finish has high as 4th based on the demographic that watches the show, if it were up to me he should finish higher, but I just don't see it happening..

Rockers never seem to do as well as they should on American Idol, the AI audience seems to like people who are more like them than a person who can stand out from the crowd..

I think the other singers that could finish ahead of him are.

Michael or Syesha

 

If you have not followed Idol for a while you might not know about the guy who won the World Idol competition with Kelly Clarkson finishing 2nd, he is an amazing talent.

He has a great voice, but he sounds EXACTLY like Bono.

 

Search for him on YouTube, particularly as an ensemble in Hallelujah....oh heck, here it is...he sings at the 2:00 mark, AMAZING.

yes, they did credit cornell, and I still thought he did an amazing job with the song. Right up there with Archuletta's Imagine as the top 2 of the season.

And no way Brooke finishes that high.. I don't know how she's making it through so far. I really don't think she's that great. (edit: I don't think she should be booted off yet, but in the next 3 weeks or so)

 

I like Brook, I think Rumiel will be gone tonight.....and she is very cute.

It should be her or Kristy.. I'd rather Kristy go cause she was pretty bad the last 2 weeks or so, but doubtful because of the song choice (like you said). Chikeze was also in the bottom last time and didn't have a great performance, so I could see him going. Ramiele will get the votes for being cute..

 

A vote against Kristy Lee is a vote for Al Qaida

 

Kristi made a VERY smart choice and Simon knew it....I doubt she is in bottom 3....

Yes, I forgot about Chikezie...either him or Rumiele is my guess.

My wife is still pissed about last weeks vote off, it was here 2nd favorite behind David Archuletta.

Chikezie gone.. hopefully Kristy next week, then Ramiele, then Brooke unless one of them shows something great between now and then. The other 6 are all higher than those 3 to me.. (though some higher than others)

 

That's three weeks in a row David Lee Cook has taken someone else's version of a song, and given credit for being original. And the only reason he credited White Snake last week and Cornell this week is because he got caught stealing the version of Elanor Rigby from a band in Seattle.

 

I guess, I'll do big things if I can find my voice. She was/is a one trick pony. If a bar band is looking to find someone who can cover Janis Joplin, she'll have a nice little side job, otherwise she'll disappear as most idolists do.

 

Apparently he did give credit to the Seattle band as well but they cut it off in editing..

 

I remember when he sang it, I said, "This sounds like GodHead's version."

I don't know if that's the band or not. The kid's good, but I still think Blake Lewis is far and beyond the most original person on Idol yet.

 

I don't know if anyone was watching tonight, but Jason Castro (from Rockwall, also goes to A&M) gave one of my favorite performances of the season. I love Israel Kamakawiwo'ole's version, and I thought this was brilliant.

I really think this guy has potential to win the whole thing, or at least have a nice career after the show.
